Just a handful of our pigs at feeding time, 😊 it was a beautiful evening last night! Do ask if you want to see them when buying from the Farm Shop! Please remember though, we are a working farm and not a petting farm.

Oh Easter, how you crept up on us again!
Open as usual 10am daily. Please pop in on our well stocked days; Friday afternoon - Sunday to avoid disappointment. Open Monday as animals don't do holidays, so therefore, neither do we!
Saturday 4th is St Briavels Farmers Market 10am - 12:30pm.
Finally all the cows are back out onto their summer grazing, unfortunately, no video as keeping a 2 year old safe was top priority.
Lambing has been super successful for us this year. We managed a whopping 23 lambs from 10 ewes and everyone is doing superb.
Look forward to seeing everyone πŸ‘‹

We are currently in the thick of lambing. Extremely amazing mothers and lambs this year. We have had:
X3 sets of triplets and X4 sets of twins.
All are feeding from mums bar 2 and everyone lambed textbook except 1, we had 2 coming at the same time - everyone is alive and well though!
We have just 4 more ewes to go. πŸ™Œ
Warmer weather seems to be appearing and lighter evenings are back. We appreciate every minute extra we aren't working in darkness.
It has been a truly difficult year for farming with the hottest summer we have had 2025, since the 1960s drying everything to dust, its sadly taking a toll on the hay and straw situation now, costing farmers Β£55 a bale for straw (we use roughly 6 bales a week) and Β£80 a bale for hay (we use 22 bales every 5 days) minimum prices. We have bought 2 loads of straw this winter and are hoping our hay will make it to mid March! We cannot afford those prices πŸ™ˆ farming isnt what it used to be, thats for sure! We are so grateful to all our supporting customers weekly and monthly and new comers. None of this would happen without you!

When you strategically place nesting boxes around.... they all prefer the same one! πŸ€¨πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ what do you do with 1 broody duck, 1 broody turkey and 1 turkey who just wants some peace and quiet to lay her egg πŸ˜‚ yes they were pecking and biting each other to move 🫠
Apparently spring is on the way when the birds go broody πŸ™Œ
