Profit. I always tell my customers that there are no silly questions. However, some customers asked me today, as their second question, "profitable?".

What is the point of that question? Would you buy more if I'm not? What about asking if I'm happy at what I'm doing? What about promoting biodiversity, enjoying simple things like a curious young fox following me in the vineyard?

Farming should not be only driven by profit but by quality.

I spotted those very first flowers yesterday on two varieties! Solaris and Sauvignon Soyhières, I don't remember being that early last year. What we call full blooms, when 50% of all the flowers are open, will probably take another week. Then, the theory is 100days to harvest!

A new journey! Last week we planted a new vineyard at my neighbour. We are starting a partnership between Flexford vineyard and me. We planted 5 varieties, Piwis of course, Sauvignac, Rinot, Cabaret Noir, Cabertin and Calardis Blanc. Those grapes will join my cuvees in 3-4 years!

Social media should not only be used to share success and the nice side of our life.

Today, it's about saying we were not ready for such a wasps invasion, and our first small crop is gone.

Next year, we will protect the crop and be ready earlier in the season.

I'm lucky. There are many talented producers in the UK where I can continue to supply my grapes to continue to produce my wines.

So proud of our Orange Bacchus for getting silver and our Cabaret noir for getting bronze at the this year!

"Lovely flavours of satsuma, orange, marmalade, and peaches, with a tannic element." A wonderful comment of the Jury for our Orange Bacchus!

You will be able to try them both at our Open Days on the 21-22-23 of June at the Winery but also enjoy tours of the vineyard! We will also offer wine by the glass this year for you to enjoy in the vineyard!
