Somewhere gentle to stay near Lymington, New Forest, in a space we share with the plants and animals that call it their home.

We came to Lightfoot’s when it was an abandoned and degraded space, we’ve planted a couple of hundred trees, designed to be productive as food, and for wildlife, and see more diversity season by season.

Stay in a shepherds hut or bell tent, explore the coast and the forest,relax, soak in a hot tub, be close to nature.

The wood chip is a gentle way to reduce grass competition but it will warm the soil and be perfect for mycorrhizae to develop and reach for all the other plants including the hedgerow and orchard which have so much wisdom to freely share. And these cobs are struggling a bit to establish and need that connection… it would set them to grow with new confidence on pests and fertility and the hot and wet and dry periods we are having…
