We are FarmFIT.
Our weekly fitness sessions are drawing to a close for another year and what better way to celebrate this great community of people, but to venture outside of the gym and enjoy an evening meal together.

A wonderful day of fungi foraging and lots to ponder for next year.
Thank you to Joe and Attila for providing their time and expertise on the walk and to everyone that attended and made this event very special.

Today brings us our wild fungi foraging day.
We've had a quick look at the landscape this morning and can see that the fungal life is teeming with colour and variation with plenty to study.
We are looking forward to mushroom hunting with you all.

Mushroom hunting
We’re always on the lookout for where the mushrooms pop up on our land. Yesterday was a great indicator that we should strike it lucky, after lots of rain and a bit of morning sunshine.
Time to create mushroom umami.

Mosaic Puffball
This was the first puffball find of the year, spotted on our hillside whilst walking one eve.
Puffballs are generally easy to spot because of their shape and size. Before eating though, cut open and check that it’s lovely and white inside. If in doubt, don’t eat and leave for the wildlife.
