Our farming articles in every issue are written for us by our mini team of local hill farmers and experts - John Richards, Jen Warwick, Michelle Werrett, Sarah Eveleigh and Victoria Eveleigh. You can meet them all on the opening pages of our new issue. They somehow slot writing for us into their hectic farming year and sometimes they take brilliant pictures which I simply have to share with you. Victoria Eveleigh snuck into the room at West Ilkerton Farm to capture this photo of her wonderful husband Chris taking a quick break during lambing. Happy birthday Chris! You’re a top person! Thanks very much to Karen for these photos of the shop window of Walter Henry's Bookshop in Bideford. Never in my wildest dreams had I imagined my name would be displayed above Ozzy Osbourne's!
Just over a couple of hundred copies of 'Exmoor Farms' are left from the second print run and there are no plans to print any more, so hurry while stocks last. They cost £25 and make a perfect Christmas present.
They can be bought from many local shops, including Walter Henry's, and from me here at West Ilkerton (with £5 p&p) or from the Exmoor Hill Farming Network (with £5 p&p).

Thank you very much to all our wonderful customers who have ordered beef for Tuesday 4th November.
Several cuts (fillet, rib of beef on the bone, rib-eye steaks, topside, brisket and diced beef) are now unavailable due to high demand.
The following cuts are still available: silverside, slow-roast rolled rib, rump steaks, minute steaks, braising steak, skirt and shin.
A few packs of mince and one or two packs of 2 sirloin steaks are still available.
Also some packs of 6 plain or sweet chilli frozen beef sausages @£6 each are available from our freezer. The demand for mince has been so great that we won't be making fresh burgers or sausages this time.
