“What a brilliant venue for my special birthday celebration. Everything about the event — the setting, the delicious food, the brilliant drinks service and the highly efficient and friendly staff (not to mention the wonderful Jane, who went above and beyond to cater to our every whim) — was entirely excellent, and head and shoulders above loads of local venues.

Please do yourself a favour and drop by. Coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner — you name it, Hygge will put a smile on your face. It certainly worked for me! 10/10 all-round excellence.”

✨ A little bit of lovely news from Hygge… and some BIG news too! ✨

We recently stumbled across an article in the Lancashire Telegraph about Hygge that, somehow, we’d completely missed — and we couldn’t be prouder. 🧡

The article recognised Hygge as one of the highest-ranked places to eat in Lytham St Annes on TripAdvisor — something we’re especially proud of as an independent restaurant that only opened its doors two years ago.

Even more importantly to us, we’ve managed to consistently maintain that position since opening.

Alongside receiving our TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award, and our Food Hygiene Rating of 5 – Very Good, it really does mean an enormous amount to our whole team.

We were especially proud to receive our latest food hygiene inspection this summer, with the highest standards recognised across food handling, cleanliness and the management of food safety. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

And, of course, none of this happens without you.

To everyone who takes a few minutes to leave us a review, recommends us to friends, brings family to see us or simply keeps coming back — thank you so much. Reviews genuinely matter to a small independent business like ours. We read them, we listen to them, and we’re always looking at what we can do better.

And talking of making Hygge even better… we can finally share some news we’ve been waiting a few months for! 🥂☀️

Our planning permission for our new outdoor area has been APPROVED!

We’ll be transforming the space outside Hygge into a safe, level and much more sheltered outdoor dining and drinks area, with glass balustrades, beautiful planters and planting, all designed to sit sympathetically alongside the gorgeous building we’re incredibly lucky to call home.

And the best bit?

That side of the building gets the sunshine from around 7.30am until approximately 8.30pm in the height of summer. ☀️

So we’re picturing morning coffees in the sunshine, leisurely lunches, an afternoon glass of wine, and drinks and dinner as the sun goes down.

We think it’s going to be rather special. 💙

There’s lots happening behind the scenes and we’re so excited for what’s next.

Hello, and thank you to some lovely customers for letting us know they’ve had trouble reaching us through our phone line. We’re so sorry you’ve had difficulty getting through to us.

Unfortunately, we’ve had a series of issues completely outside of our control. Our business landline was disconnected a week earlier than scheduled, and after a number of delays and problems with the new provider, we had to use a temporary mobile number while everything was sorted.

BT have now connected our new landline, but we were unable to keep our original number. As soon as the new number was live, we updated all of our social media, Google and TripAdvisor listings. We then discovered that the phone had been set up incorrectly, so after just two rings it diverted callers to voicemail, but it wasn’t actually recording any messages. We spent another hour with BT yesterday getting that resolved.

We’re genuinely sorry for the frustration this has caused. Everything should now be working properly, and we really appreciate your patience while we’ve been trying to resolve a situation that has, unfortunately, been entirely outside our control.
