Trace mineral and vitamin deficiencies can all have an impact on cattle performance, growth, fertility and immunity.

Key benefits of using Nutrimax Cattle are:

• Nutrimax is formulated with chelated trace minerals for more efficient absorption helping correct deficiencies faster.

• Helps support fertility and conception rates in breeding cattle.

• Improved growth rates through trace minerals helping cattle convert feed more efficiently and support daily live weight gain.

• Immune system support- Vitamins A, D3 & E and trace minerals such as selenium, zinc, copper, iodine, cobalt and manganese all play roles in immune function and health.

• Where forage and grazing is deficient in vital vitamins and trace minerals Nutrimax can play an important role in bridging the gap with targeted supplementation.

Nutrimax Cattle is specifically designed to help meet the nutritional needs of all cattle at all stages.

Balanced nutrition = Healthier sheep

Nutrimax Sheep is a full spectrum high quality vitamin & chelated trace element drench. Chelated trace elements are absorbed more efficiently by the animal than standard minerals. If your sheep and lambs are grazing land that is low in trace elements a drench like Nutrimax can help fill nutritional gaps and support overall flock performance.

The main periods to use Nutrimax are:

• Pre-tupping.
• Late pregnancy.
• Lambing.
• Fast lamb growth.
• Recovery after stress, poor weather or worm burden.

Key benefits of using Nutrimax are:

• Better growth rates and feed conversion in lambs.
• Supports immune function and general thriftiness.
• Improved ewe condition and conception performance.
• Helps where grazing or forage is deficient in trace elements & vitamins.
• Extra nutritional support during stressful periods.

It is suitable for:

• Lambs over 4 weeks old.
• Adult sheep, tups and ewes.

Vitamins and trace elements are key to flock performance.
They control many of the body's essential biological processes, even though sheep only need them in very small amounts. If levels are low, performance drops long before you see the signs.

Stronger starts = Healthier lambs.

In many areas of the UK, soils are low in copper or contain minerals that interfere with copper absorption. Copper deficiency in lambs can lead to poor growth, poor fleece quality, reduced thrive and increased susceptibility to disease.
The benefits of supplementing lambs with good quality vitamins and minerals are,

• Supports faster, healthier growth - Copper, Cobalt and vitamin B12 all support growth performance and feed efficiency. Copper is essential for bone formation, nerve fibre health and reducing anemia. It also helps support white blood cell function which helps resist infection.

• Helps maintain strong immunity - Selenium and vitamin E help support immune function and resilience helping lambs cope better with stress, disease challenges and changes in the weather.

• Supports bone development and vitality - Vitamins A and D3 are important for skeletal growth, development and general health in young lambs.

Supplementing lambs with a drench like Coppavit can help support growth, health and overall performance particularly in areas with soils that are imbalanced or deficient in Copper, Cobalt or Selenium.

*Important to note*
Because Coppavit is high in copper it should only be used where copper supplementation is appropriate. Some sheep and lambs can be sensitive to excess copper so it's best used as part of a flock mineral plan with veterinary or nutritional advice.

Stronger starts = Healthier lambs

In many parts of the UK soils are low in Cobalt and Selenium. Signs that lambs are deficient are poor growth rates despite having feed, reduced appetite, rough fleece, lambs lagging behind and ill thrift.
The benefits of supplementing lambs with good quality vitamins and minerals are,

• Better growth rates - Cobalt is essential for rumen microbes to produce vitamin B12. Lambs deficient in Cobalt often become "poor doers" with reduced weight gain.

• Improved appetite and thrive - Lambs short of cobalt and selenium can look tucked up, dull and slow growing. Maxigro is targeted at correcting that.

• Supports immunity - Selenium plus vitamins A, D3 and E help immune response and general health especially around stressful periods like rapid growth, poor weather and weaning.

Maxigro is a high quality supplement containing Cobalt, Selenium and vitamin B12, A, D3 & E. When used alongside a good worm control programme, plenty of milk/feed and good grazing can help support growth, health and thrive in your lambs.

V I T A M I N S & M I N E R A L S

Supplementing lambs with vitamins and minerals can have a direct effect on growth, health and survival especially in the early stages of life.

Lambs are often born with limited reserves of key nutrients if the ewe's diet was lacking during pregnancy meaning those lambs are already starting life behind. A good quality vitamin and mineral drench can quickly help to correct that.

Supplementing lambs can help to prevent deficiency diseases such as white muscle disease in the case of low selenium which can affect movement and can be fatal if not corrected.Deficiencies in key vitamins can weaken the immune system making lambs more vulnerable to infections.

There is a strong link to growth and performance. Lambs with adequate levels of vitamins & minerals tend to,

• Grow faster
• Convert feed more efficiently
• Develop stronger bones and muscles
• Cope better with stress (bad weather or weaning)

Ensure your lambs have the correct supplementation they need to not only survive but thrive this year particularly in environments where natural nutrition isn't reliable.

The majority of lamb losses are preventable and mainly occur due to the lamb not receiving a sufficient quantity of quality colostrum. These losses can be prevented by testing the quality of the mother's colostrum and topping the lamb up with a good quality lamb colostrum feed such as Ovicol if the mother's colostrum quality and volume is poor.

Ovicol is a premium lamb colostrum that has an extremely high fat content ensuring lambs get the energy they need to thrive. Made with 100% natural colostrum Ovicol delivers a feed as close to mothers as possible.
