Our opening times will be as normal today (4-7pm) as the football kick off will be 8pm so plenty of time to shop and get ready to watch the match.

We will also have the fabulous Jinny in the pantry to cook up some more delicious recipes with tasters. All her recipes so far (23 of them) are up on our website...

TODAY...
Due to the football times today we are going to open at 3pm and close at 6pm.

As the England game clashes with the pantry opening times I think it will disrupt our pantry session. We have taken the decision to alter our opening times slightly to hopefully allow more people to visit.

We will open at 3 rather than 4 and close an hour early at 6pm. Drop me a message if this is an issue for you.

The cafe will be open from 3pm-6pm so you are welcome to stay after your shop rather than before.

Back to normal hours next week.

A huge thank you to Skout Public Relations Ltd for coming and helping in the pantry this morning.

They have a regular monthly volunteering session with us but today was going above and beyond. The team were working from home and one member even travelled in from Buxton.

We have the fabulous Jinny in the pantry today preparing some delicious food for our Pantry to Plate project. Not much hot food today as it is so warm but we have tasters of...

Courgette salad with a dressing of sesame oil , lime juice , salt , pepper and mint

Tomato salsa which includes chopped tomatoes , salt and pepper , chopped red onion

Spanish tortila which is onions and mushrooms , fried in olive oil

Then Quisadilla, which is sh*take mushrooms, soy sauce, garlic, tomatoes, a bit of onion and cheese.

And Tortilla chips made with corn wraps.

One of our members has kindly shared a couple of their meals from the pantry.

Using the ham, salad and rolls from last week she made some lovely looking sandwiches for the week ahead.

She also used a tin of our chilli with our rice and chips for tea.

As you may have seen we have been lucky enough to receive funding to continue our Pantry to Plate project.

We are going to run it slightly differently to last time as the brilliant Jinny () is going to be attending the pantry to create some recipes using whatever we have a surplus of that day - Ready, Steady, Cook style.
