We hate to see home grown fruit go to waste, so we decided to do something about it. We're based at our HQ in Macclesfield, the Applery!

Based at our HQ in Macclesfield, we started turning them in to a delicious healthy blend with a taste that can vary from bottle to bottle. I guess that makes us unique! We want your apples & pears. If you bring them along to our juicing days, we'll give you half back, either fresh, or if you want pasteurised. We then create a mixed blend from all the fruit that comes through the door, which we will bottle and make available to buy. That way everyone can enjoy locally grown fruit.

Hurrah! For a fourth year, we are happy to be back by overwhelming demand. Treat yourself to a bit of time out before the busy days ahead for one of our popular festive wreath workshops in the gorgeously rustic barn of the Random Apple Co, Swanscoe, on the rural edge of Macclesfield.

Bedecked with twinkly white lights and filled with the aroma of Random mulled apple juice and home baking, there could be no better setting to get into the festive mood!

You’ll take away a truly unique, sustainable and beautiful creation for your door or gate this Christmas, lasting long into the winter weeks, along with memories of the special time making it.

Choose from a large ‘banquet’ of nature that awaits you: responsibly foraged local foliage, moss, dried and gathered hedgerow treasures, pheasant feathers, velvet ribbons ...
No experience is needed and all materials, tuition and help will be provided.
Plenty of home-baked cake and hot Random Apple mulled juice will also be on hand!

Workshops can be gifted as a voucher to a friend or family member, and group bookings are always welcome.
Places are limited to 12 per workshop. Please book early to avoid missing out via the HOMEstead GROWN website.

Our Story

We hate to see home grown fruit go to waste, so back in 2014 we decided to do something about it!

Based at our HQ in Macclesfield, we started turning people’s unwanted but lovely homegrown fruit into a delicious healthy blend - with a taste that can vary from bottle to bottle. I guess that makes us unique! We want your apples & pears! If you bring them to us, we'll give you juice back in exchange. Our ‘random’ apple juice is also available to buy locally for everyone to enjoy.

Apple season September - November is our busiest time where we take in people’s apples and gather our own harvest from over 200 young trees. Keep an eye on our ‘events’ if you want to get involved in our ‘pressing sessions’ - it’s a fantastic morning out - and certainly a bit of a different experience!

During winter we spend our time helping to establish new orchards - planting more apple trees in the area - or use our orchard management skills to help local tree owners prune, maintain and improve the health and production from their existing tree.
