The Viaduct 1864 Gourmet Burger trailer and fully Licensed Bar. Providing locally sourced food and drinks. All our meat comes from our own farm or from Barratts Fine Meats.

THE BURGER TRAILER AND US....
We are local farmers who run our 125 year old family business here in Machen, producing quality beef, lamb and milk. We are also lucky enough to have our own pet and family friendly river walk located at the Viaduct on the Forge trail which is very popular with horse riders, cyclists and ramblers. We realised that we could combine our love of food and our amazing countryside and offer visitors a chance to taste some of the local produce whilst enjoying this beautiful and historic part of Machen. We also have a small car parking area and a place to park your horse if needed

THE TRAILER
Our trailer is an old stock wagon from our farm that has been lovingly restored by CJ Conversions (https://cjconversions.com/gallery.html)

OUR FOOD AND BAR
Who doesn’t love a good burger? Vegetarians, vegans or those who want to try something different will not be disappointed as we also offer high quality plant based burgers All our burgers are served in the best baps Wales has on offer of course provided by Glanmores Bakery, Caerphilly. And for dessert? We are lucky enough to have right on our doorstep Jakes Bakes Cakes and Brooke's Dairy who will be providing our post burger sweet treats. If that’s not enough to get you excited we also have a bar. What better way to wash down your burger than with a locally sourced cold beer or cider? We also have a selection of gins and wines, coffee and soft drinks Our soft drink supplier is Radnor Hills and all tonics will of course be Fevertree! And if you fancy a Birthday party at the Viaduct we will be catering those too, just give us a call to discuss what you want. RESPECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT
We take our impact on the environment seriously, so our packaging is minimal, plant based and compostable. Please help us keep the area clean and safe and use the waste bins provided. ABOUT YOU

You may have noticed that over the last few weeks we have found it difficult to open. With such awful weather, staff illnesses and factors outside our control it has been a bit hit and miss whether we are able to open on the weekends.
We hate the thought that we may have let our wonderful customers down and deciding not to open is always a difficult decision and one that's not taken lightly.
However, with the forecast ahead not looking great and the ground already quite boggy we have decided not to open for the rest of October. We have absolutely loved serving you all over the last few months. Our little community is always so supportive, encouraging and downright awesome. We thank you all for the love and support you show us. ❤️
We hope to do our yearly Bonfire in November. 🤞🏼 So watch this space for updates.
