Dear all who are booked with us either via Dulas Glamping or Accessible Adapted Hafan Y mynydd.
We are still running!!
But our FB pages have been taken down by Meta (we think).
We have had a Vietnam person gain access to our meat account, and whilst we are talking with Meta to sort out that account potentially inadvertently closed or deactivated our camping and Glamping pages. Hopefully they will be reactivated pronto 😬😬

Out of all 3 pages, they are definitely not the ones I wanted going 😬.

It also means all our messenger messages no longer exist, and whilst we do have a number for most of our guests - I have a feeling not all of them.

Gryff is loving the new piggies. 22 months old and not fussed by the pigs at all, they are around 12.5 weeks old. Gryff is doing the important job of socialising the pigs, so our glamping guests can be near them. It also helps when it comes to moving them too. One more week indoors, and then they can go out to the field.

Moch nôl adre!! Piggies are home!! Been with us 2 weeks and can already see a difference (as well as lots of pig muck to clear out!)

Be out to the oak woodlands.
There is 1 runty plus a friend who will be kept in for a little longer, make sure she has enough fat on her before wandering around 3 acres in the rain, wind and hopefully glorious sunshine ☀️

This year we have gone with local feed from the agri shop, given prices of fuel.
It does mean that for now our June pigs will have been mainly fed with soya as the protein, which isn’t Pippa’s preferred source of protein (preferring anything U.K. grown, peas and beans being the easiest source to get hold of).

We hope to get in some of our regular pig porridge after this first 1/2 ton of feed has been eaten.

*** Thank you all for sharing, means so much!! We have a few coming to us in the next week, to see how we fit for them. So fingers crossed we have filled the vacancies. ***

We are Looking for some lambing help.
Location: Close to Machynlleth, Powys.

To lamb 400 Aberfields indoor and outdoor starting 12th-15th of March for around 3 weeks.
Then we start to lamb 400 Welsh mountain we may need help for these (Dafydd is recovering from a broken leg, and unsure how he’ll be around 1st week of April onwards).
Flexible on hours and days.
Accommodation available if needed.

Desirable if you know how to drive a quad / buggy with trailer, but not essential if you’re willing to learn.

Will take on students / or those with limited experience, as well as those with more experience / old hand.

Sorry we have been a bit quiet on here.

We went away on holiday first week of January to Paris anf Disneyland Paris, then 2 weeks later, farmer dafydd slipped over and broken both bones in his lower leg. Spent a good 14 days in hospital, and we are now in our own accessible shepherd hut for a week or so whilst he recovers, then move back to the house.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us through 2025.
Keeping the dream alive of home grown locally produced meat, with minimal soy contents (none for the pigs).
Sheep and Cattle predominantly grazed out at pasture. Then to protect our thin soils the heavier cattle are brought in during winter and fed home grown silage, and bedded down on Cambridgeshire straw.

We supply the community hub with our delicious local meat, only 5 miles away.

We are family farm near Aberhosan, only 5 miles from Machynlleth.

We were finalists in the 2024 food and drink awards, Wales - farm to fork producer.

We have a half a Hogget available at £16/kg
Will weigh around 6-7.5kg - £96- £120.
Our Hogget is a speckle ewe who has spent 18 months on the mountains behind The Star inn, Dylife. Grazing on the mountain grass, between the heather and gorse.

Pork
We have a 1/2 or 2x 1/4 of pork available - custom cut and packed to your preference.
Pedigree large black pig - as a Christmas special it’s £9/kg, rather than £9.50/kg.

Or choose a 5kg bag - £45
1x roasting joint, chops, 4 belly pork strips, and sausages. £45

Large black pork has 2 types of fat layers keeping the crackling moist underneath and the meat below.
The meat is a sumptuous darker colour as this breed has had little tampering by us humans, so no lean qualities added, that you might find in the supermarket or more modern breeds.

We keep the skin on all our joints, cuts and bacon, so you can experience amazing CRACKling every time.
