Reminiscing on an unforgettable week at the 2025 World Clydesdale Show

A massive thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and exceptional hospitality. We had a great time catching up with old friends and making a tonne of new ones.

Congratulations to all the exhibitors for bringing out a fantastic display of horses and to the organisers for putting on an incredible show. We’ll definitely be back! 🐴🍺🇺🇸

A great start to the first leg of the 2025 World Clydesdale Show visiting the home of the Budweiser Clydesdales for an incredible spectacle of horses.

A massive thank you to Warm Springs Ranch for their incredible hospitality and to the Worldwide Clydesdale Alliance for putting on a fantastic tour. Onto Anheuser-Busch brewery today 🍺

Another good result last week in the Perth Show Spring Barley Crop Competition. Apparently we aren’t too bad at this crop growing stuff 🌾🏆

🏆 🌾 Spring Barley Crop Competition 2025 🌾 🏆

Dry soil conditions coming out of the winter kickstarted spring barley sowing in the first days of March, meaning a large area of spring barley was sown early this season. With little rainfall during the first half of the spring, spring barley crops looked to be struggling with drought for a while. However, the rain finally came and crops recovered and thrived, giving the judge plenty impressive entries pick between!

Kindly sponsored by McCreath Simpson & Prentice (MSP), and judged by Brodie Bain farm trader, agronomist and seed inspector for MSP in the North of Scotland, the results are as follows:

1st Abbey Farm - Thomas Clark.
2nd Mains of Cargill Farm - William Livingston.
3rd Over Buttergask Farm - Grant Morris.

A great day yesterday at Braco Show for our yearling filly Croaghmore Dolly.

🥇- 1st place Yearling filly
🥈- Reserve Overall Champion

A fantastic week for our yearling c**t Muirton Successor (Muirton Sabre x Macfin Diamond Queen).

🏆 - 1st Yearling C**t
🏆 - Best Entire Male
🏆 - Overall Male Champion

Also a good day for our yearling filly Croaghmore Dolly who came 5th in a strong class of yearling fillies.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped before, during and after the show. Very grateful to have such a great and hard working team behind these horses. I think we have just about recovered from all the festivities.

Massive congratulations to Charlotte Young on her Cawdor Cup win.

🏆 Reserve Male Champion and Reserve for the Cawdor Cup.

Our junior filly foal Croaghmore Dolly also took a respectable 2nd place in a strong class of junior fillies.

🏆 Overall Champion at Forfar Foal Show 🏆

A fantastic day with our junior filly foal on only her second outing of the year. A massive thanks to the organisers for putting together a great show. A particular thank you also to all those who threw their keys, hats, catalogs and brushes. We did eventually get those ears forward.

Well done to all the other competitors including the Greenhill family for their success.

Another great weekend with our junior c**t foal. 1st prize junior c**t foal and best male at the Winter Fair. Then going on to win the Champion of Champions for 2024. A great legacy this horse has to live up to and he’s surely off to a fantastic start.

Our junior filly Croaghmore Dolly (Muirton Sabre x Croaghmore Rihanna) bred by Sandra Henderson also had a great start at her first show of the season picking up 2nd in the junior filly foal class.

⭐️ We also went on to win the best pair of foals bred by the same sire ⭐️

Well done to all the other competitors including Collesie and the Paulsson family.
