Baa Hill Farm Shop Finest quality home reared and local produce. Our traditional approach brings home reared produce from the local area to your kitchen.

Our livestock are respected and treated kindly and we are committed to traditional methods of rearing, this provides produce not available from the supermarket. Come and see for yourself and ask about out farming methods, have a breath of fresh air while your at it. We specialise in home reared and local lamb and beef, mainly grass fed and we also have our own rare breed pigs from which we make dry cure bacon and gammon and sausages in a variety of flavours. We source free range eggs locally and also supply free range chicken.

Serve it with eggs for breakfast, in a butty for elevenses, on a salad for a lighter lunch, stacked into a BLT for a not-so-light lunch or stirred through spaghetti carbonara for dinner.

Basically, it’s got the whole day covered.

Ours is born and raised right here on the hill – no mystery, no unnecessary middlemen and no supermarket trickery. Just proper food from people you can actually talk to.

Made with slow-cooked braising steak rather than mince, it’s rich, comforting, full of hidden veg and best served with a chunky pasta shape that gives all those tender shreds of beef something to cling to. Forkfuls don’t get much better than this.

Now that’s what we call a fully stocked meat counter! 🥩

If you want good, honest food that’s been produced properly, buying directly from the producer is a pretty good place to start. Fewer middlemen, no clever tricks to make the meat look bigger and a much clearer idea of where your food has come from and how the animals were cared for.

You also get to choose your meat from an actual counter and ask an actual butcher all the important questions: Which cut is best? How should I cook it? What goes with it? And have I bought enough for seconds?

The advice is free, by the way. 😉
