Let’s talk igloos🐮

All to often we are housing calf’s in large , multi purpose buildings where they struggle to maintain body temperature and drive ventilation

Coming into the winter calf’s housed in sheds are more likely to suffer from a ‘cold chill’ in the winter months

Why does the igloo work?

🐄small internal space means heat generated by calf’s will cause air to rise up out of the chimneys

🐄Fresh air is drawn through the large door in a phenomenon known as the stack affect

🐄holds 14 calf’s to generate enough heat to drive the air movement

🐄easy transportation

🐄low investment costs with it being 70% cheaper than conventional calf barns
