🌟 Magor & Undy Community Fridge – Friday 10:30am–12:00pm 🌟

Tomorrow’s Community Fridge is looking very well stocked, with something for everyone! It’s taken most of the day to organise!

🍞 Loads and loads of bread products – loaves, rolls, buns and more
🥔 Red potatoes and Five Guys potatoes
🍅 Tomatoes
🥬 Fresh spinach
🥕 Parsnips
🍄 Mushrooms
🥓 Some bacon
🍗 Some chicken
🧀 Mozzarella cheese
🥚 Eggs
🍉 Fresh fruit and plenty of other vegetables and salad items

Our shelves are packed thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers and food donors. Every item collected helps reduce food waste while supporting local people and helping household budgets go a little further.

🏆It’s National Volunteers’ Week -big shout out to all the fabulous people who give freely of their time and energy for others.🏆

We’re not quite as full as we were last week, but there’s still plenty to share and we’d love to see you tomorrow!

If you’ve been thinking about popping in, today is a great day to visit!

Our fridge is absolutely packed and we have lots of food to share, including:

🥚 Plenty of eggs
🫐 Loads and loads of blueberries
🍞 Fresh bread, rolls and bakery items
🥔 Potatoes
🥕 Carrots and parsnips
🥬 Lettuce, spinach, cabbage and mixed salad leaves
🍐 Pears, apples, melon and watermelon
🍅 Tomatoes, peppers and courgettes
🌿 Herbs and much more!

Everyone is welcome – whether you’re looking to stretch the weekly budget, reduce food waste, or simply make use of some lovely fresh produce.

🙏 A small favour: we’re running very low on egg boxes. If you have any spare clean egg boxes at home, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could drop them off.

Another very busy day and we have a bumper haul to show for it!

Tomorrow’s Community Fridge is looking very well stocked again! 😊

We’ve got plenty available, including:

🥚 Lots of eggs
🥬 Lettuce & spinach
🥕 Carrots & parsnips
🥔 Potatoes & Jersey Royals
🥓 Bacon
🍞 Loads of bread
🍌 Bananas
🫐 Blueberries
🍈 Figs
🍉 Fruit salad & fresh fruit
🌿 Fresh herbs
🌶️ Scotch bonnet chillies
🥕 Prepped & peeled veg ready to use

Plus lots of lovely fresh salad leaves and greens thanks to our amazing suppliers and volunteers 💚

As always, everyone is welcome. The fridge is here to help stretch budgets, reduce food waste and make good food available to the community.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited and supported the Community Fridge yesterday 💚

Thanks to our amazing volunteers and generous suppliers, we gave away an incredible 260kg of food that would otherwise have gone to waste!

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, new visitors, and hear all your ideas for meals and recipes. We had lots of promises of photos too 👀🍲🥘

We heard of people’s BBQ plans for the bank holiday weekend and look forward to hearing all about them next week. 😎☀️

Please do post your meals, bakes and creations in the comments, or send us a private message if you’re a bit shy! We genuinely love seeing what people make from the food collected each week.

Today will be another fantastic Friday at the Magor & Undy Community Fridge! 💚

Our amazing volunteers have been busy again and the shelves are absolutely packed today with fresh fruit and veg, eggs, bread, rolls, pastries, salads, peppers, courgettes, potatoes, tomatoes, grapes and so much more. We’ve even got fridge items including milk, cheese and yoghurts.

We’ve now saved over 252kg of food from going to waste this week alone ♻️👏

Everyone is welcome — whether you need a little help with the weekly shop, want to stretch the budget a bit further, or simply hate seeing good food wasted.

Busy fridge prep this week and our amazing volunteers have been hard at work collecting, sorting and arranging everything ready for tomorrow 💚

This week we have:

🥩 Frozen chuck beef pieces
🥚 Eggs
🧀 Grated cheese & cheese slices
🥬 Shredded savoy cabbage
🥕 Prepared carrots
🫑 Prepared peppers
🍋 Lemon & lime juice
🍅 Lots of fresh fruit and veg too!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped with collections and set up today — and to all our wonderful suppliers for continuing to support us week after week. Special thanks to John, Sam and Bev for all their hard work today too 👏
