Yesterday, Daniel Larkin, Kerry Clements and members Paul Northeast, Nigel Chadd, Gary Hannah and George Mason represented Sterling Supergroup Ltd at the FWD Conference in Stratford‑upon‑Avon. It was a full day of interesting conversations, practical insight and plenty of moments that made us stop and think.

The theme of resilience came through strongly, not just in the context of our industry, but in how we lead and support our teams and prepare for the unexpected. One message really stood out: one of the key threats businesses need to be ready for is the real risk of a cyber‑attack. It’s a challenge none of us can afford to ignore, and the sessions gave us a lot to take back and share with our members.

There was a great mix of speakers throughout the day, with Joe Wicks delivering an insightful keynote that reminded everyone how closely personal wellbeing and professional resilience are linked.

Being part of the FWD community continues to be a real advantage for Sterling and our members. The shared learning, the open discussions and the chance to connect with others facing the same challenges all make a genuine difference.

We’re incredibly proud to have completed the National Three Peaks Challenge as part of our 60th anniversary fundraising efforts!
In just 22 hours and 55 minutes, a team from across the Sterling Community took on Ben Nevis, Whernside and Snowdon, facing everything from snow to torrential rain along the way. It was a tough but unforgettable experience that truly showcased the power of working together to achieve great things.
The support throughout the weekend was outstanding, with messages of encouragement and donations helping to keep us going every step of the way.
We’ve now reached over 63% of our £60,000 target, but there’s still more to do.

The third and final charity we are supporting as part of our National Three Peaks Challenge is Action Against Hunger UK. A global humanitarian organisation dedicated to ending life-threatening hunger and ensuring access to safe water, food, and nutrition for communities in need.
Their work is vital, especially at a time when millions of people around the world continue to face food insecurity every day. Action Against Hunger is helping to build a future where no one goes hungry.

To celebrate Sterling Supergroup Ltd's 60th anniversary, we have set ourselves a bold goal: Raise £60,000 for three incredible charities – Hospitality Action, Action Against Hunger UK, and FoodCycle.

This week we had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic two-day member event with Marshfield Farm Ice Cream.

Day 1 saw our members enjoy an insightful factory and farm tour, and as previous winners of our Sustainability Award, it was great to see how they continue to evolve their sustainability efforts.

Day 2 we hosted our monthly members buying meeting in Marshfield's brand new meeting space which made for an excellent location and plenty of ice cream!

A big thank you to Flo, Dawn and the whole Marshfield team for their warm hospitality. Our members thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
