Today we have had our “ read” day for our cows annual Tuberculosis (TB) test. We are really pleased to have a “ clear” test with no TB reactors.

Happy St David’s Day 🌼.
This is our first calf of 2026, which arrived this morning.
She’s doing really well. As we are a pedigree hard all our females are registered with the breed society. This year all our calves will start with letter M.
Any name suggestions?

This week is National Apprenticeship Week.
Not everyone learns best in a classroom. This was the case with our eldest son, who is now earning and learning, while completing an agricultural apprenticeship through Hartpury College and a local dairy farm.

I’ve seen several posts going back to 2016 on social media, so here is mine.
This is our youngest son who will be 13 this year. He’s with my favourite cow Lupin or Lu as she was known. Lu was bred here back in 1998, she had 15 calves and lived here happily for 19 years. Within the herd now we have Lu’s great, great, great granddaughter.
