We have just had the most crazy busy day at Albanwise Low Mowthorpe Malton Open Farm Day. We met some lovely people and patient, well behaved polite children and big kids (parents) wanting to cuddle kid goats.
Thank you Albanwise for asking us to be part of what is now growing into a great family day out.
Thank you to all who attended and the interest that was shown in our little goat family it makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Unfortunately we were so busy we didn’t take many photos so if you took some and wouldn’t mind sharing please feel free to add them.

A hot day means bath day for the goats going to Cosy Cottage Goat Milk Soap making workshop. It’s also a great way for us to cool down as bathing goats is a bit off a wet job.

So far 2026 hasn’t been great, yesterday I got a call to say Lucy had started lambing but the mention of a lot of blood didn’t sound right after a video call l shot out of work called the vet and went to assist Lucy. Unfortunately she’d had an evisceration so had to be put to sleep. We tried to save her triplets but they just weren’t quite ready to breath. So so very sad and traumatic I just hope and pray all rest go to plan.
