📢 We’re pleased to confirm the appointment of Sean Stevens as the new Head of Operations at our pork manufacturing site in Hull.

Sean joined the business in 2019 following spells working for New England Seafood and 2 Sisters Food Group, holding several senior production roles at our Humberstone Road site in Grimsby, before taking on his most recent position as Head of Operations, F Factory.

He is a popular and well-respected member of the Senior Leadership Team at the Humberstone Road site and has a good track record of delivering positive results and building strong and high-performing teams.

We’re confident with Sean’s track record and experience, he will continue to build and drive the high standards upheld at the site 📈

You will own ensure the mill operates at optimal efficiency while meeting all safety, environmental, and compliance requirements.

With a strong focus on operational excellence, you will also play a pivotal role in managing environmental performance and sustainability at Brydock Mill.

We're pleased to welcome Katarzyna Szynal and Emer Doherty to Sofina Foods Europe 🤝

Katarzyna joins as Head of Technical, Haverhill, and will be familiar to some of our longer standing Builders at the site, having worked there for 11 years in various positions, before moving on and operating in a number of technical roles for Pilgrim’s.

Emer, who is our new Technical Manager, Tullamore, brings a proven background in compliance and valuable experience in auditing and training, most recently working as Primary Ingredients Manager at Arrabawn Co-op.

These appointments will further strengthen our Technical capabilities at both our Haverhill and Tullamore sites.

🎓 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 🎓

We’re proud to congratulate Inese Kravcuka, Quality Manager at our Fethard site in Ireland, on successfully completing her Higher Diploma in Food Science and Technology.

Inese joined the business in 2010 as a General Operative and has since built a strong career in our Quality Department. Balancing study alongside work is no small feat, and this achievement reflects her dedication, resilience, and passion for continuous learning.

At Sofina Foods, we’re committed to supporting our people to grow and develop. Inese received support with course funding and study leave, helping her balance her studies with her role. The knowledge and skills she has gained will not only benefit her career, but also strengthen our team.

Her manager, Stephanie Whitford, said: “Inese is tremendously detailed and hardworking. We’re all so proud to have such a motivated and talented individual on our team, and I look forward to seeing how she applies her new skills and knowledge to make a positive impact.”

Last week we were proud to host the inaugural Sofina Foods Europe Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Conference in Grimsby – a milestone event bringing together our HSE teams from across the business.

Health and safety is at the core of everything we do at Sofina Foods Europe. Protecting our people and creating safe workplaces isn’t just about compliance, it’s essential to building a sustainable business and living and breathing our values every day.

The two-day event featured engaging sessions, best-practice sharing, and a tour of our Humberstone Road seafood factory, all focused on how we can continue raising the bar on safety and continuous improvement.

Nigel Todd, Head of Health and Safety, said: “It was fantastic to bring the HSE Team together for our first conference. Safety is not an add-on to what we do, it is central to how we operate as a business.

"Our culture of continuous improvement depends on it, and I hope everyone left the conference with renewed energy and a clear understanding that strong safety performance underpins everything else we achieve as Sofina Foods Europe.”
