Something a bit different we’ve got here at the moment… Thomas Hardy’s Ale. A beer that’s got a really unique story behind it, first brewed in 1968 in honour of Dorset writer Thomas Hardy, it’s a proper rich, strong barley wine. Definitely one for the history geeks, or just anyone who likes finding a beer they haven’t tried before.

Reuben, one of the faces behind the counter at The Epicurean, has picked his favourite beer: Azvex Brewing Company’s P Doom 2, or as he likes to call it, a ‘liquid Snickers’. A 10% ABV, chocolate, caramel and peanut butter cream stout that’s rich, sweet, indulgent and seriously moreish. Think this is one you could get behind? 🍫
