Our cheese board has just had a seasonal refresh: Cornish Yarg, Alp Blossom, and Shropshire Blue Colston Bassett are now on, each paired with a wine to match.

🍷 It’s World Red Wine Day! 🍷

We’ve got two reds worth raising a glass to - enjoy bottle at our flagship Didsbury Wine Bar and Bottle Shop, or take away and stock up for the bank holiday weekend.

🇨🇱Garage Wine Co, Old-Vine Field Blend
This is pretty special. A blend of old vines Cabernet, Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache, Monastrel and Pais from the same plot, aged in a Solera system where each year they blend several vintages together for the perfect harmony. Medium bodied and full of life with a wide array of ripe, wild berries, spice, earthiness. It's a wild one and will rock your socks off.

Pair with: Charcuterie & cured meats, Grilled/barbecued meats or Mushroom dishes.

🇱🇧 Massaya, Le Colombier Rouge 2021
A blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Tempranillo from Lebanon's famous Beqaa Valley. Aged in stainless steel vats to retain freshness, there's an abundance of refreshing fruit, underpinned by black pepper and spices.

Pair with: A rack of spring lamb or even a lamb tagine.

Pop in today, grab a bottle to drink in or take home for the long weekend ahead. 🍇

Thursday 3rd September, Buffalo Trace Distillery comes to Didsbury for a night of American whisky.

Join our team and a Sazerac expert for a tutored tasting through mash bill, ageing & bottling strength - from one of Kentucky’s oldest, most iconic distilleries.

As our Didsbury manager James puts it: “For the price of one ticket, try through some of our favourite American whisky, bourbon and rye - all from one of the oldest distilleries, producing some of the world’s most sought after products.”

Light, silky, ridiculously food-friendly - here’s what we’re pouring:

🇫🇷 Montsablé Pinot Noir 2025 - great value, but delivers classic flavour of juicy summer fruit, best served slightly chilled.

🇩🇪 Hanewald-Schwerdt 2021 - a bit more serious, a bit more savoury. For anyone who wants their Pinot Noir with a story to tell.

🇬🇧 Flintyard Pinot Noir Précoce 2024 - English Pinot doing genuinely exciting things. This one’s landed on keg, so you can grab it by the glass.
