A Crafty Visit

Crafty, Joel, Elliott and Andy were lucky enough to visit Dewlay Cheesemakers yesterday for a tour, a taste and lots of great information and history behind one of our closest producers. They are the fantastic people behind a large amount of our staples list where we try to supply 'commodity' style products but at a much better quality from a great local producer.

We were lucky enough to be shown around by Conor whose hospitality was truly great and his knowledge was even greater. Such an awesome business with lovely people and a rich history.

These visits are hugely important to us and give us the chance to continue to build strong relationships with the people who produce our wonderful products enabling us to tell their stories.

Yesterday, Crafty had the honour of judging at the Great Yorkshire Show for the very first time! 🧀

It was a fantastic day spent tasting some truly incredible cheeses and dairy products, showcasing the outstanding quality, craftsmanship and passion from producers across the UK! 🇬🇧

A huge thank you to everyone involved for such a brilliant experience 🧀✨

Monday night was the most special night in the history of this crazy Crafty Cheese Man business! 🧀

A collection of the most talented, caring and inspiring chefs that the North has to offer came together to produce the best meal I have ever eaten to support myself (Crafty) because of the cancer journey I am going through but most importantly to support and raise money for the wonderful Christie hospital who along with myself have done the most amazing things to help people going through cancer and change their lives for the better.

These wonderful chefs were joined by the most unbelievable group of front of house professionals who created the most special environment along with serving some truly delicious beverages.

This was something I could never have expected or imagined would have been done and I am still overwhelmed by the whole thing and I’m awe of what we witnessed last night.

We witnessed the strength, support and community that hospitality possesses especially in Manchester. It was a beautiful example of why hospitality is so important to this entire country and why it needs everyone’s support.

I will never be able to thank the people involved who gave their time and energy for this unreal event and also to all the lovely people who came down and support the team, myself and The Christie. It is something I will never forget!
