Manchester Wine School Our aim is to help people learn about wine. No previous wine tasting experience is necessary. If you are a beginner we can start with the basics.

We run the brightest and best wine tastings in and around Manchester, with something for everyone from seasoned pro to those just getting into wine and wondering why fermented grape juice can taste so good If you have more experience we offer masterclasses, meet the wine maker and more in depth courses. There is something for every wine lover to enjoy and learn. From wine tasting days/evenings to

food and wine matching experiences, we focus on enjoying wine and learning about it in a relaxed and friendly setting. As well as corporate wine events and private wine tastings, we also provide more formal accredited wine and spirit qualifications (from WSET),

It’s the ideal introduction for anyone who wants to understand wine with more confidence - whether you’re curious, enthusiastic, or beginning a career in hospitality.

You’ll cover key wine styles, tasting technique, food and wine matching, and finish the day with the WSET Level 1 exam.

Nearly 50 years ago, Paul Boutinot hired a van, drove to France, and returned with wines for his family’s restaurant - a journey that led to the founding of Boutinot in Stockport. That same passion later gave rise to the striking Stellenbosch estate now known for its wines, sustainability, and strong sense of place. We’re delighted to be joined by Louis Boutinot for this special tasting, where he’ll share more of the Waterkloof story and guide us through the range.
