We’re kicking off January with something a bit special down at Fairfield Social Club

Wassailing is a traditional winter folk ritual all about chasing away bad spirits, welcoming good vibes for the year ahead, and warming up round the fire with mulled cider, songs and ceremony. This year, we’re bringing it to Fairfield Social Club for an evening of storytelling, chanting, dancing and proper communal energy.

Expect fire pits, folklore, lanterns and a guided procession through Angel Meadows, before ending the night back at FSC with live performances and songs around the flames.

THE RUNNING ORDER

6:00pm – Welcome by the fire
Wassailing introduction, rituals & mulled cider

⁠6:15pm – Storytelling & songs with Sabira

⁠6:30pm – Guided walk & chanting around Angel Meadows
Candlesticks at the ready

⁠7:00pm – Milltown Cloggies – first performance

7:30pm – Songs around the fire

⁠8:00pm – Milltown Cloggies – final performance
