🚧 A little heads-up for today! 🚧

Highways have coned off the whole front of the shop today, so we completely understand that parking is going to be a little more complicated than usual.

There are side streets nearby, but please do park considerately and appropriately so we don’t cause any inconvenience to our lovely neighbours. 💛

We’re hoping whatever the issue is gets sorted quickly. Unfortunately, the cones have gone up without any warning to local businesses or residents in the area, so it’s come as a bit of a surprise!

But please don’t let a few traffic cones stop you from supporting local! 🛍️❤️

An opportunity has come up at Cole’s Sandwich bar 

🥪 Sandwich Shop Assistant – Part-Time

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Sandwich Shop Assistant to join our team!

Hours: 16 hours per week
Daily hours: 9:00am–2:00pm
Saturday availability is essential.

The role

You’ll be helping with the day-to-day running of the shop, including:

* Preparing sandwiches and other food
* Serving customers
* Taking orders and handling payments
* Keeping the shop clean and tidy
* Supporting the team during busy periods

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, friendly and enjoys working with customers. Previous experience is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided.

To all NHS workers, firefighters, police officers, bin crews, posties, kitchen staff and every other local service worker out there grafting in this extraordinary heat — please look after yourselves.

We know conditions are tough, and today is set to get even hotter. We want to say a huge thank you for everything you do to keep our community going. ❤️

☀️ All NHS staff are welcome to come into ANY Coles (Cole sandwich Bar or Coles Burger Van) and get a FREE cold drink. ☀️

No fuss. No questions. Just a small way for us to say thank you and help you cool down.

A special shout-out as well to our firefighters who have been out on call since Friday tackling barn fires, field fires, and everything in between in these extreme conditions — we appreciate you more than words can say. ❤️‍🔥
