☕️ Cafe Closure Notice

We would like to give our valued customers plenty of notice that the cafe will be CLOSED from Friday 4th September and will REOPEN on Wednesday 16th September.

We truly appreciate your continued support and understanding. We apologise for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.

Hello everyone! 👋

The Monk Lakes Cafe Team here with a little announcement…

We’re pleased to let you know that we’ll be accepting card payments again!

While cash will still be our preferred method of payment, we know card payments will make things more convenient for many of our customers.

Please note that there will be a minimum card spend of £5 – so unfortunately, no buying just a cup of tea on your card!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone for your patience and support while we got everything sorted. We really appreciate it and are excited to see where this takes us!

As always, if you have cash, we’d be grateful if you could continue to use it where possible.

☀️ Weekend Heatwave Update ☀️

Due to the extreme heat forecast for this weekend (26/6/26-28/6/26), and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, Monk Lakes Cafe will remain open with a limited menu.

We will be serving:
🥪 Cold sandwiches, baps and filled 1/2 baguettes
🥤 A wide selection of cold drinks
☕ Tea and coffee
