What a year for Quince 😍

When I planted my Quince trees a few years ago I had no idea how soon I'd be harvesting such a bounty! These are a favourite fruit in the orchard with such a delicate perfume and flavour - this year they are whoppers! ❤️

As you know I always enjoy providing you with something extraordinary - have you tried my Quince & Lemon Marmalade before? It's a winner! 🏆

It's almost time for Broadstairs Food Festival! It's all starting tomorrow from 10am 😁🥳❤️

I've been working super hard and I have an amazing spread of preserves for you! Stacks of Cucumber Pickle for my addicts, piles of Piccalilli and my award winning Raspberry, Vanilla & Rose Geranium jam among MANY MANY more.

There will be a selection of samples too - so be sure to stop and try.

It's a really busy time of year, there's soo much fruit to harvest, prep and preserve!

I'm grateful but sometimes it's a little overwhelming too. I've been putting in a lot of late nights recently to keep up. So today, taking a slow afternoon with my boys to climb ladders & harvest our apples was blissful & much needed.

They've earned their pocket money & I've relished seeing them happy, playing and climbing amongst the trees 😍

This Sunday 21st September I'll be at the Eco Fair - 11am-4.30pm.

A day filled with fun workshops, inspiring talks and eco ideas for all!

I've been really busy cooking up some new autumnal jams and chutneys with the abundance of produce from my orchard and local farmers. I'm looking forward to sharing them with you! 😋

Looks like it's going to be a fab year for the grapes 🍇 The vines are bigger than ever so that means I'll be able to make lots of 'Grape & Port' jelly for you this year 🙏🏻

A beautiful versatile preserve that pairs with cold meats, cheese or pâté. It has always been popular when entertaining over the festive period. Or sweet enough to spread on your toast.

On the hottest weekend of the summer so far it seems a bit strange to be thinking about Christmas but the business brain has to plan ahead 🤷🏻‍♀️

A new batch of Cucumber Pickle made on this glorious sunny Friday morning 😍🥒

This pickle is a firm favourite amongst you all! Are you one of my pickle addicts? How do you serve yours? Sandwiches, burgers, salads, platters?

Right now I'd have mine in a freshly made fish finger sandwich 🥪 whilst sitting on Margate beach ⛱ with my sandy toes in the sea 🌊 ❤ A girl can dream! Time to wash up 🤣

So I've been a little quiet on here... sometimes there is just too much for one woman to juggle & I just need to let something slide. BUT I assure you it is anything but quiet in the kitchen 🤣 You are all keeping me busier than ever THANK YOU 🙏

I WILL get better at posting some updates, especially when we get a bit more sunshine & this year's crops get going. It's coming....surely... I can feel it! 🤞☀️🙏

I love getting out to the festivals and seeing all your faces 😊 come and stock up on your faves. I might just have a few new varieties, the return of a favourite or two & some Easter specials!

After another round of cheese & and chutney, it was a gentle return to work today. The shelves are looking empty, which is no suprise after my busiest Christmas to date! Another HUGE thank you! 🙏

Be gentle with me for a week or so while I get cracking in the kitchen. I've got a LOT to do getting your favourites back on stock as well as a few new seasonal lines!
