An Important Update From The Campaign:

Hi everybody,

We have a lot of information to share with you today.

We are aware that the landowners are members of this page and have been monitoring the campaign from the very beginning. We would be naive to think otherwise.

We also understand that a huge amount of money has been invested into this proposed development and that we are certainly not the most popular people with those behind it. Our campaign has, after all, played a significant part in preventing development on this land so far.

We genuinely understand that this will be disappointing for them. However, we firmly believe that nature, wildlife, open green space and a vital community asset used by local people every single day should not be negotiable. Any form of development on this land would have a devastating impact, and that is something we will continue to stand against.

We also want to be honest with you about where we are.

Historically, we have kept information on a need-to-know basis and played our cards very close to our chests. At times, that has been necessary, but we now feel it is important to be completely transparent with the community about where we currently stand.

At present, the core team is essentially three people.

We have had some fantastic people involved over the years who have contributed enormously to the campaign, and we are incredibly grateful to every single one of them. However, there are currently two main contributors, including myself, who are continuously putting in the work behind the scenes.

The reality is that the workload, alongside jobs, families, personal commitments and everything else life throws at us, is becoming incredibly difficult for three people to manage.

We cannot do this alone.

The entire community has shown incredible support for this campaign, but now we need to turn that support into people power.

That is why we are looking at creating a more formal, committee-style structure, with members of the community taking on specific roles.

These would be completely voluntary positions. We are not expecting anyone to give up their life or work a nine-to-five for this campaign. But realistically, if we want to continue fighting for this land in the long term, we need more people involved in the team.

We need YOU!!!

I have poured my soul into this campaign, and I want to make one thing absolutely clear:

I am not going anywhere. I am not giving up.

I am genuinely overwhelmed by the support this community has shown us. When we have faced difficult moments, you have rallied together and shown exactly what can happen when a community comes together.

But, if I’m being completely honest, I sometimes feel totally defeated when we ask for help and very few people are able to step forward.

The momentum behind this campaign cannot be allowed to fade.

We knew from the beginning that this was never going to be something resolved overnight. We knew this could be a long battle, potentially lasting years.

And we are in this for the long run.

We have already achieved an incredible amount together, and we should all be incredibly proud of what this community has accomplished.

But we need to keep going.

We need people to get involved where they can. Whether that means joining the committee, helping with social media, contacting organisations, attending meetings, distributing information, helping with fundraising, supporting events or simply giving us a few hours when needed — every contribution matters.

Nobody is expecting you to do everything.

But if everyone does something, we can achieve so much more.

Our plans for the future

We are also looking at setting up a Community Benefit Society, which would provide a more formal structure for the campaign and give the community a greater role in how the organisation operates and makes decisions.

A Community Benefit Society could also provide opportunities to raise funds and apply for grants, helping us build the resources we need to continue the campaign in the long term.

We are currently looking into the process of becoming a formally established, community-focused organisation, and we want to get the ball rolling.

We will be in touch shortly about organising a presentation evening, where local people will be able to come along, hear about our plans for the future, ask questions and, most importantly, find out how they can get involved.

This campaign has always belonged to the community.

Now is the time for all of us to come together and decide what happens next.

Thank you, as always, for your incredible support.

We are not finished. We are not giving up. And we will keep fighting for this land.

Copied from the bellway objection group ....

We now have 71 online objections, with around another 100 currently in the process potentially 171 objections in total (figures to be confirmed).

First and foremost, a huge and genuine thank you to every single person who has taken the time to object. We know it takes time and effort to get involved, and we are incredibly grateful for every objection submitted.

But we need to be absolutely clear: 171 objections is nowhere near enough.

We need to be aiming for THOUSANDS of objections, potentially 3,000–4,000. Given the population of Market Drayton and the surrounding communities, every single objection matters and every single voice counts.

We have now been given more time to submit objections, with the closing date extended to the 14th of September 2026. Please, let’s not waste this opportunity.

👉🏻Every individual can submit their own objection it is not limited to one objection per household.

👉🏻You do not have to live in Market Drayton or Moreton Say to object. If you believe this development could affect the area, its infrastructure, roads, services, environment or surrounding communities, you can make your views known.

This development has the potential to place additional pressure and stress on already stretched local infrastructure, which is why it is so important that the strength of local feeling is properly represented.

Market Drayton Council has OBJECTED!!!

Moreton Say Parish Council has OBJECTED!!!

Please don’t assume someone else will do it. Please don’t think your objection won’t make a difference.

ONE objection matters. YOUR objection matters.

We have until the 14th of September 2026. Let’s use every day we have, make our voices heard and show just how strongly our communities feel about this development.

Please get involved, submit your objection and encourage your friends, family and neighbours to do the same.

This is our community. This is our opportunity to be heard. And we cannot afford to waste it.

08/08/2026

Who in here wants to try to stop whats happening in the town? The houses being threatened to be built and the migrants being shipped in and causing problems with the women and children? Is there any action groups set up that you know of that we can join up with and help?

07/08/2026

What is the towns people wanting to do about the issue of asylum seekers and migrants in the town . We hear reports of them hanging around the parks and schools and trying to talk to the children while they walk home from school. We have a safeguarding team being formed and trained now through the brilliant we are the sheild organisation but what else needs doing?
Emails? Protests? How and what is suggested. We are hearing the problems but how do people think this can be stopped?
