If you’re having a roast this weekend, or planning a treat for your breakfast, why not include bacon in there and join the International Bacon Day celebrations and enjoy some of our local free range pork, dry cured by our own team here at Fordhall Farm?

We’ve been kindly gifted some beautiful dried lavender by Peplow Hall.

Gill and little Izzy Hollis have enjoyed using it to decorate the farm shop.

We love these personal and homely touches. Thank you 😊

Last Friday, the Afternoon Amblers enjoyed a gentle walk to the Three Ponds, followed by tea and cake in the Community Garden 🍰🫖

The Three Ponds is such a beautiful place on the farm to connect with nature. As one of our walkers said: “I could have sat on that bench all day – a truly fabulous spot to sit and relax.”

Join the Ambers 🌼

The Afternoon Amblers meet every Friday at 1:30pm in the Community Garden (weather permitting), and they’re always delighted to welcome new friends.

They’re a kind, friendly group for anyone who’d like to enjoy the natural world in the company of others.

Fordhall Farm Shop has been listed by The Express as one of the Top 10 UK farm shops for 2026 😊

We’re ecstatic! Especially with over 1,500 farm shops in the UK!

We pride ourselves on our ethos; focusing on the wellness of our animals and land, respecting our animals through a nose-to-tail butcher ethos, and supporting local and organic producers.

We’re far more than just a farm shop. Anyone who visits will see our animals as you come in, can enjoy freshly prepared local food in Arthur’s Kitchen, and can take a walk along our farm trails.

All our cuts of meat, our handmade bakery products, and much more, are available through our award-winning online shop. So if you’re unable to visit then we can bring the farm shop to you!

Visit our website and have a browse.
We’ve also included a link to The Express’ article below.

Today marks the start of Organic September, a campaign organised by the Soil Association, which certifies farms and producers to ensure they meet recognised organic standards.

We love stocking food and produce from certified organic suppliers in our farm shop, as well as from producers who follow organic practices. Wherever possible, we’re proud to source from these businesses and support the way they care for the land, wider environment.

We’re lucky to have such a wonderful selection of produce on our shelves, and particularly blessed here in our corner of Shropshire to have so many fantastic local farms and producers on our doorstep.
