We were approached back in January regarding a memorial bench through the TV series the Yorkshire vets. Ten benches were available throughout the country and as it was the 50 th anniversary of the Viking way,the Lincolnshire wolds project officers contacted us to see if one could be on the Viking way. We were delighted to be approached and felt it very appropriate for the bench to be in memory of our beloved Delfina and Fragata. It was a bit tough to see the bench and plaque but so lovely too. Apparently it's the only memorial bench of the 10 for horses, all the others were for dogs. Thankfully the cows approve! Two beautiful horses never to be forgotten.

Hot bank holidays are always challenging with the sheer amount of walkers that come through but three young boys decided it was a good idea to strip off and swim in our very uninviting lake! Is there no common sense anymore? Or respect for private property? It just beggars belief!

Thank you to everyone who came to my Working Equitation clinics both here over the weekend and at Whitethorn Equestrian, Easingwold, yesterday. After the very tough past few weeks it was a pleasure! John is making good progress, still a long road but he is doing so much more each day. A big thank you to whoever sent us the lovely Cornish company gift box wishing John a speedy recovery. There was a lovely card but no name!

My apologies for not advertising next month's clinics on this page. I've been a bit preoccupied with John's serious accident 2'weeks ago resulting in a broken forehead, nose and bleed on the brain. He's home now from hospital facing a long rehab. It coincided with the 2nd anniversary of losing our beautiful Fragata,I really don't like that week in April.

The weather very nearly wreaked havoc this weekend. At 8 am yesterday the village had flooded and the arena wasn't far behind. Thankfully the rain finally stopped and we carried on with both yesterday's and today's clinics. Thank you to all the riders for a great 2 days, just lovely to be able to work with you all and the obstacles. I will sort a date out for another clinic here mid April.
