The Stud is run to standards which comply with DEFRA & has a fully Qualified, Experienced AI technician & is a semen collection centre. Glenwood first started out as a training and livery establishment with breeding as a part of things, everything has always been to a high standard, producing and turning out horses for showing, dressage, showjumping and eventing as well as producing horses for at

least five joint masters of foxhounds. So in turn the stud is run to standards which comply with DEFRA and is a DEFRA approved semen collection centre and has the approval to export and import semen to other EU member states. Glenwood has also become one of only a few studs in Britain to be awarded the coveted British Equestrian Federation's "Breeder's Quality Mark" following a most stringent approval imspection of the stud in which every aspect of the business was assessed. The scheme has the objective of giving added confidence to breeders of horses/ponies with respect to skill/welfare/record keeping regarding their mares whilst they are at stud.
