Street food, cocktails and live music by the sea – welcome to Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council’s Majuba Sunset Market which brings a laid back, chilled vibe to Redcar seafront on the first Friday of each month from 4pm to 9pm this summer.

Launching Friday 1 May and running Friday 5 June and Friday 3 July, following the success of last year’s event on the eve of Redcar Kite Festival, this year’s markets will have even more artisan food and drink stalls.

Here’s just a little taste of what’s in store:

• Gourmet sausage rolls from Eston’s Purple Bee Bakery
• Melt in the mouth ice cream from Brotton’s
