Matlock Farm Park is a family friendly open farm set in a beautiful and tranquil location. The park has a large selection of animals including llamas, goats, meerkats, ponies, deer, cattle, wallabies, ducks, alpaca and sheep to name but a few. The pet rabbits and guinea pigs are alway

s a favorite with the children along with the opportunity to help feed the young lambs (seasonable). Children's parties are catered for and horse riding lessons and pony trekking is also available by advanced booking. There are several play areas too, indoor and out, for the kids to let off steam! We've also got several outdoor and indoor play areas to choose from 😃 This includes The Enchanted Hamlet, a multizone all weather area, the UKs largest Jumping Pillow, Tots area for younger children (including sandpit), slides swings and of course Tractors!

💪Peak District Highland Games💪

2026 is the 10th Anniversary of The Peak District Highland Games 💪 From humble beginnings back in 2017, to growing into our flagship event, we've had the most incredible journey with the games over these past 10 years.

Here's some of our memories from the very first games where Scott Litchfield took the title and became the very first Peak District Highland Games Champion 🏆🥇

Each year the games have grown, increasing the number of athletes competing including women, more strength events being added as well as keeping the original favourites. Now the games are a full scale event which includes food and craft stalls, entertainment, grand stands, competitions, opening ceremony, dancers and of course the athlete's vs children tug-o-war!

Due to the popularity of our grown-ups only evenings, we've decided to put on an extra date on Saturday 22nd August!! 🥳

So take a break from entertaining the kids and join us 17:30 - 21:00 for some fun on the farm! We'll have interactive animal activities, delicious food & drink on offer and even our play areas* will be open!
