I D Newman Butchers Family Butchers and Pie Shop We are a family butchers who have been in Melksham for nearly 50 years. We believe in Quality before Quantity.

Our aim is to provide good quality meat for the best price that we can. Not low quality meat at bargain prices. We sell meat and homemade sausages, burgers and faggots. We also make our own pies, pasties and cakes, these are extremely popular. All our products are homemade in our shop, not bought in, meaning we are confident in what we are selling you and we know it is top quality.

What Incredible cooking skills our customer has!

Here’s how he done it!

1kg Tomahawk steak 🥩

Took out the fridge and left for 40 minutes

Put in an fan oven at 110 for 50-60mins on a griddle tray

Finished off searing in a hot pan 2minutes each side and gave the fat a good sear

Took out of the pan and rested for 5-10mins before slicing

We recently found ourselves catering for a stunning wedding and with such incredible feedback we are making it official!!

ID Newman and Son are now available to cater for small events!! We love being able to celebrate these occasions with our local community with our delicious sausage rolls, mouthwatering tray bakes (for example, carrot cakes, chocolate brownie bites etc) ,classic pasties and best-selling quiches.
