We are a small, friendly shop selling beautiful boutique French wines and champagne from small independent wine growers.

You won't find our wines in supermarkets! We also sell artisan cheeses, charcuterie, bread and chutneys from across the UK.

New in this week - a highly sought after red wine (pinot noir) with a rich history dating back to the 6th century before champagne was discovered. Bouzy Rouge was regularly served at coronation banquets to French Kings. It was a favourite of Louis XVI, listed in his inventory cellar-book in Versailles. This wine is produced by Herbert Beaufort, independent wine grower, also known for his exceptional champagne. Nathan was invited to join their stand at the recent wine exhibition at Olympia. Bouzy remains one of the few villages in Champagne still going on with the tradition of red wine. It is a wonderful privilege to have this in our shop.

Free tasting! - Try this exciting new champagne at Frenchvines Shop shop this week! The vineyards of Daniel Dumont consist of 10 hectares in 4 villages of the Montagne de Reims. The domain’s grape varieties are mainly Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. All stages of the wine production are carried out entirely in house, from grape pressing to selling. The wine blending he uses to create his champagnes is an art in itself. Hundreds of thousands of bottles are aged at constant temperatures for several years in his cellars. Quality is achieved by combining wines, grape varieties, and tasting the different cuvées. This is key to developing an authentic and distinctive champagne.

Nathan has picked up these freshly baked rustic sour dough loaves this morning from an artisan baker in Market Harborough. £4.60 each in Frenchvines Shop today. Also freshly baked baguettes £3 each. We are open from 2 till 7pm 🙂

Just to let our lovely customers know - we are reopening tomorrow as normal, and introducing these four exceptional new wines. They are carefully created by the 9th generation Bardin family in beautiful Pouilly-Sur-Loire. Their 55-hectare estate is HVE certified (High Environmental Value). They drastically limit pesticides, use organic farming and preserve natural vegetation – developing biodiversity within their vineyards and surrounding areas. A whole ecosystem colonizes their vines. Prices: Pouilly-Fume £16.86; Pouilly-Fume Cuvee Paullacum £23; Sancerre £23: and Pouilly-Sur-Loire £14.46. We are open Fridays and Saturdays from 2 till 7pm in lovely Wymondham
