The harvest countdown begins!

This bunch of Pinot Noir is right in the middle of veraison — the magical stage when the grapes transform from green to their deep purple colour.

There’s still a little way to go, but every day brings us closer to harvest. 🍇🍷

Darren’s been on a mission today to the scrap metal yard! ♻️

If you’ve got old metal, machinery or bits and pieces gathering dust, don’t bin it — recycle it! You might be surprised what it’s worth. 😉

Today’s visit cleared some space and put a little cash in the bank! 💰

LOVE BURGUNDY? YOU SHOULD TRY ENGLISH AND WELSH CHARDONNAY.

Not because English and Welsh w**emakers are trying to make Burgundy. Because they’re not.

But if you love the things that make great white Burgundy so compelling – cool-climate freshness, bright acidity, texture, restraint and a real sense of place – then English still Chardonnay deserves to be on your radar.

Chardonnay is now the UK’s most planted grape variety, and while it remains the backbone of English and Welsh sparkling w**e, a new generation of still Chardonnays is showing just how well the variety can perform here.

English and Welsh Chardonnay has its own identity – shaped by British growing conditions, individual vineyards, soils, vintages and w**emaking choices.

And that’s what makes it so exciting.

There will be a dedicated Chardonnay focus table at the W**eGB National Press & Trade Tasting on 7th September, giving trade and press the chance to explore the variety across English and Welsh producers and styles.

So, if your w**e list usually takes you to Chablis, Meursault or Puligny-Montrachet... take a detour to England and Wales, you might find a new Chardonnay worth talking about.

And you can find out more about UK Chardonnay in our Grape Press blog – link in bio.

This evening we hosted BGS Social Club for a very special vineyard tour and w**e tasting including the eclipse in the vines. The birds stopped singing and the light/shadows in the vines were stunning.
