🌾 Regenerative farmers We are a family run farm near Milton Keynes, our farm shop opened in 2019 sharing our wonderful meat directly from the farm to you, we are open to customers 4 days a week. Our Sheep & Cows a

re 100% grass fed and only come inside to escape the wettest months of the year, at which time they eat the hay grown here during the summer. Our pigs are reared in spacious straw yards after being born outside and spending time with the sows. Our eggs are laid here on the farm from Hens who spend their time outdoors, they have a GM/ Soya free diet and lay the most delicious eggs. We grow combinable crops using regenerative practices, this means we don't disturb the soil and plant the seeds without ploughing. In return we reduce soil erosion, improve drainage in wet seasons and hold mositure in dry seasons. We encourage worms and beetles who also aid drainage and support the birds and small mammals. We have a wealth of microbiology which helps crops grow without the need for lots of synthetic fertilisers. Having used these prinicples for a number of years we are beginning to see lots of benefits and these are things we are building upon each year. As a small business we are always on hand to answer any questions and love nothing more than sharing our story, please do ask when visiting or book a farm walk via our website. Tom & Mary

📢 Fresh Hogget Update

Unfortunately, we've had an unexpected delay this week, which means our fresh hogget won't be arriving tomorrow as planned.

We're now expecting it to be available next Friday, and we'll let everyone know as soon as it's here.

In the meantime, we'll be open: 🕙 Friday 10am-3pm 🕘 Saturday 9am-1pm

With freshly baked bread, croissants, cinnamon buns, James's lovely vegetables, and plenty of frozen pork, beef and a full range of sausages and pork burgers available.

We also have a good stash of bacon and gammon steaks in the fridge and are expecting a delivery of Fruit Pig Black Pudding and White Pudding

We hope you all have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend!

It’s fresh pork this week and we have a new one for all of you high meat content sausage lovers out there.
This one is Italian style, pork with garlic and fennel.
It adds to our range of pork sausages without bread based grist for fans of keto and carnivore diets which include the Toulouse sausage and pork and chorizo burgers.
For the coeliacs among you we have the gluten free pork sausages and chipolatas which contain a maize based grist.
Whatever your reason for choosing these they are all super tasty.

After breaking down at the end of 2025 harvest, the combine needed some serious TLC. This included removing the head, regrinding all valve ports, new valves made, new head gasket, injectors rebuilt, diesel injector pump rebuilt, new fuel lines, new cylinder and liner, replacement chain on the grain elevator, 2 pipes replaced on the header and the hydraulic ram that lifts the header resealed. We are pleased to report after a shaky start with a neighbour needing to help us out, the combine finished strong 💪 and looking forward to 2027 harvest

On Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming , a regenerative farming family cooperative based just outside Lisbon, Portugal.

They visited us to see how we integrate livestock within our arable rotation, and it was fantastic to exchange ideas and experiences.

Together, we visited our Longhorn cattle grazing the river meadow and took a tour of James' Market Garden.

One of the most inspiring conversations of the day centred around the success of regenerative farming in putting more people back on the land, creating meaningful rural employment, and building stronger communities, all while producing exceptional, nutrient-dense food for everyone to enjoy.

Afterwards, we gathered around the table to share a homemade lunch with some of the best of our homegrown produce: Toulouse sausages, rainbow chard quiche, a Hodmedod's quinoa salad with broad beans, spring onions and courgettes, and a fresh green salad with cucumber, beetroot and sugar snap peas and a side of sourdough. Sharing good food is one of the best ways to connect, and it was a fitting end to a day filled with inspiring discussion and learning.
It's always encouraging to meet like-minded farmers who are passionate about working with nature and leaving the land in a better state for future generations.

Thank you to the team at Academia do Solo Vivo for making the journey to visit us—we look forward to following your continued success in Portugal.

It’s Saturday the 4th of July and it is fresh beef week, as always longhorn beef born and raised on farm fed only on grass, cover crops and home grown forage.

We have all of our sausage flavours available frozen today and some fresh pork cuts for the bbq including pork rib eye steaks and belly strips, ideal for the bbq.

We still have hogget steaks and leg joints in the freezer, also merguez sausages. Next chance for fresh hogget will be the 17th and 18th July.

We have had a couple of days of farm this week and decided to have a week off sourdough, otherwise we would have had to come home from our trip the day before we left! Mary has still been busy this morning making croissants, pain au chocolate and cinnamon buns, I expect these will fly off the shelf like hot cakes.

There are a few loaves frozen which you can defrost and re-bake or toast at home if you can’t wait until next Thursday when we will be back in full swing.

We are open today 9-1pm
