🌾 Regenerative farmers We are a family run farm near Milton Keynes, our farm shop opened in 2019 sharing our wonderful meat directly from the farm to you, we are open to customers 4 days a week. Our Sheep & Cows a

re 100% grass fed and only come inside to escape the wettest months of the year, at which time they eat the hay grown here during the summer. Our pigs are reared in spacious straw yards after being born outside and spending time with the sows. Our eggs are laid here on the farm from Hens who spend their time outdoors, they have a GM/ Soya free diet and lay the most delicious eggs. We grow combinable crops using regenerative practices, this means we don't disturb the soil and plant the seeds without ploughing. In return we reduce soil erosion, improve drainage in wet seasons and hold mositure in dry seasons. We encourage worms and beetles who also aid drainage and support the birds and small mammals. We have a wealth of microbiology which helps crops grow without the need for lots of synthetic fertilisers. Having used these prinicples for a number of years we are beginning to see lots of benefits and these are things we are building upon each year. As a small business we are always on hand to answer any questions and love nothing more than sharing our story, please do ask when visiting or book a farm walk via our website. Tom & Mary

Myself and Tom are looking forward to our annual trip to groundswell next week. We are leaving the shop and farm in great hands, BUT I am going to fully embrace my holiday and there will be no bread next week!

Saturday 27th June will be the last chance to pick up a loaf until Thursday 9th July. To help with the addional bread demand this week I am taking orders via a new Whatsapp breadline.

The number is: 07958195198. Send a message with your name and you will get an automated message back with a link to the menu for the week, you can then send a message reserving your loaves stating the day you would like to collect. The breadline is totally unmanned until I pick up the messages prior to mixing, so feel free to message in the middle of the night, but please ensure its clear. Payment will be on collection only so don't go paying anyone as it won't be me requesting a payment in advance! The menu will be reasonably simple whilst I get a handle of the new system, but fingers crossed it will be a helpful addition.

I have baked three days a week, every week since the beginning of January - thats 72 hours of mixing, 48 hours of folding, 96 hours of waiting but not going to far just in case, 100 hours of shaping, 216 hours of baking and unmentionable amounts of washing up, and thats just the bread!

I will be back in time to make croissants and cinnamon buns on Saturday 4th July and I will leave ample supply of cake whilst we are away.
