Paellas d'Olney

Paellas d'Olney Ever tried a Paella and not been a fan? That's probably because you haven't had one that was made in Website coming soon!

The Paella originates from the region of Valencia in Spain from the mid-19th century. The recipe was a poor man's dish, made with rice from his land, meat from his farm and spices such as saffron bought over by the Arabs as far back as the 13th Century. Made in a flat, round, enamel pan, and cooked on an open flame, the rice would cook evenly whilst absorbing the flavours of its surrounding ingred

ients creating a simple yet delicious meal that would last days. Juan brings you the traditional Paella Valenciana using locally sourced meats and vegetables along with imported spices from Spain. Choose from Valencian (Chicken and veg) Vegetarian, Marisco (Sea food) and Arroz Negro (Black rice Paella) and then follow these 3 steps:

Almsot ready for our last ever BOFF. See you there!🥘

10/09/2019

Dear friends, family members and esteemed customers, I would like to inform you that this weekend, 14 & 15 we will be taking part in the BOFF (Big Olney Food Fest). This will be our "Swan Song" 😢 and therefore your last chance to have paella before I move to Valencia!!
I hope to see you there, otherwise I will be in touch and keep you informed of developments in Spain!!
Hasta Pronto!!

02/08/2019

As many of you already know I will cease trading as Paellas d'Olney as from mid September after BOFF and return to Valencia to live and look after my mum. I am therefore looking for anyone interested in taking over the business including 2 days cooking at Cranfield university either as a going concern or as a franchise. It has been a one man band and served me pretty well but the business has room for growth and expansion. I would obviously train the potential candidate and pass on the recipes as well as intellectual property (website, logo, etc.) and customer base. If anyone is interested or know of any potential candidates please get in touch on 07920791833. I'd like to take the opportunity to thank all the customers that have, throughout the 8 years of trading, been loyal and enjoyed our paellas!

All the best and Hasta Pronto!!!

As many of you know, I am ceasing to cook paellas because I am moving to Valencia to live and look after my mum by end of September. I am therefore looking for someone interested in taking over the business as a going concern or as a franchise, I would pass on to the new owner the recipes, intellectual property ( website, logo, etc if required), customer base!
It is a one man band with room for growth if you wish to expand, it has served me well with the private customer base and the two days cooking at Cranfield University.
If anyone is interested, require more info, would like figures etc. or knows of a potential candidate please contact me on 07920791833. I take this opportunity to thank all those of you who, throughout the 8 years of the business have enjoyed my paellas!!!. Juan

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the customers that have, throughout the 8 years of trading, been loyal and enjoyed our paellas! Hola to all the paella aficionados, don't forget we also cook superb "arros negre" (black rice) and "fideuá" (noodle paella). Greetings from Juan

12/09/2016

Than to all of you dear "paella aficionados" for your support at BOFF, it was another fantastic year!!!

28/07/2016

Dear friends, family members and "paella aficionados", I am delighted to inform you that yesterday I took part in the recording of the 3 Counties Radio programme "Weekend Kitchen" and apart from stuffing ourselves (there were another two cooks who brought samples for all to taste!!) and being totally spoilt, I had a great time and gave me the opportunity to talk about paellas in general and the two paellas I made, the traditional Valenciana (chicken & veg) and the "fideuá" (fishy noodle paella). This programme will be broadcast this coming Sunday 31 July at 11am. If you want to listen, you will enjoy the various recipes and have a laugh!! I would like to take the opportunity to thank Nick Coffer for the great time had and for inviting me to the programme!!
