Attention Existing Yorkshire Makers!

From 2pm today, you’re welcome to pop into Yorkshire Makers Mirfield and choose your new shelf space.

We’ll be working on the new layout throughout the week until Friday as we make our move to 140, with the aim of getting the shop fully set back up as quickly as possible and keeping any disruption to an absolute minimum.

Can’t make it in? No problem. Just drop us a message and we’ll send you a video tour of the available spaces so you can choose the option that works best for you.

Thank you for your patience and support during the move. We can’t wait to welcome everyone into the new-look Yorkshire Makers at 140!

Today marks the end of an incredible chapter for Yorkshire Makers at 116 Huddersfield Road.

When we first took over the shop, there was so much to do, from clearing out after the previous tenant to redecorating, refitting, and transforming the space into the Yorkshire Makers home you have all come to know and love. We’ve made so many wonderful memories here and are incredibly grateful for all the support you’ve shown us along the way.

At 4pm today, 116 Huddersfield Road will close to the public as we begin our move to our new home at 140 Huddersfield Road.

We plan to be closed next week while we move and get everything set up, but we’re excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to welcome you back to Yorkshire Makers in our new shop.

Thank you for being part of our journey so far. Here’s to new beginnings at 140 Huddersfield Road!

A little taste of nostalgia is on its way to 140 Huddersfield Road!

We’ve just placed our first traditional sweets order for the new shop, and every single line has been carefully chosen with one thing in mind… childhood memories.

From classic wine gums and jelly babies to floral gums, liquorice toffees, cherry lips, aniseed balls, Pontefract cakes and creamy toffees, we’ve been thinking about the sweets that took you straight back to the corner shop after school, family days out, and spending your pocket money on your favourites.

Our aim isn’t just to fill jars with sweets. It’s to bring back memories, spark conversations, and help you rediscover those treats you haven’t seen in years.

And before anyone asks, this list doesn’t stop here!

This is just the first order. We still have more orders to place as we continue building a sweet selection that celebrates the classics and gives everyone a chance to find an old favourite.

We can’t wait to fill the shelves and see which sweets bring back the biggest smiles when we open our doors at 140 Huddersfield Road.

Something exciting is coming to our new shop.

We’re introducing a traditional Pick & Mix section and we’re currently deciding which sweets deserve a place on the shelves.

We’ve already got some classic favourites lined up, but what would you like to see?

What was the sweet you always spent your pocket money on?

What takes you straight back to childhood?

What would be the first thing you’d put in your Pick & Mix bag?

Pear Drops? Rhubarb & Custards? Mint Imperials? Voice Tablets? Or something completely different?
