A fresh delivery of Springfield Organic Chicken has just landed in the shop.

We have a great selection available including:

✔️ Chicken breasts
✔️ Chicken thighs
✔️ Drumsticks
✔️ Skinless fillets

Like everything we try to stock, these chickens are organically reared with high welfare standards and plenty of space to roam, producing chicken with real flavour and quality.

Our new coffee machine is now up and running!

Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are all available in the shop, and if you bring your own reusable cup you’ll receive 30p off your drink.

We’re still fine-tuning things and trying different coffees, so we’d love to hear what you think.

Sausage Fridge Fully Stocked 🌭🐷
The sausage fridge is looking well stocked this week!
We’ve got plenty of our popular Wild Boar Sausages, made using wild boar from the Forest of Dean and surrounding local area, alongside our Farmhouse Pork Sausages, made from our own organic free-range pigs raised here at Square Farm.
Whether you’re planning a barbecue, a fry-up, or just an easy evening meal, we’ve got you covered.
Like everything we produce, our Farmhouse Pork sausages are made using pork from pigs that are slow grown, organically reared and given plenty of space to roam, producing pork packed full of flavour.
Pop in and grab a pack while they’re available.
The only difficult decision is…

The Awkward Post-Shearing Reunion 😂🐑

Following on from our recent post about Larry and her lamb, Boots…

Both have now been through the shearing shed.

Larry has lost her winter coat and Boots has had his back end tidied up and tagged, so they both came back looking a little different than they did a few hours earlier!

When they were turned back into the field there was a slightly awkward few minutes.

Larry seemed to be looking for her lamb.

Boots seemed to be looking for his mum.

The only problem was neither of them quite recognised each other at first!

After a bit of sniffing, staring and wandering about, they finally worked out that they were exactly who they had been looking for all along.

Normal service was soon resumed and they are now happily back together enjoying the grass.

It’s funny how a haircut can completely change someone’s appearance… even if you’re a sheep! 😂🌱

It was a pleasure for Dad to be invited along to take part in this event and answer questions from the children.

One thing we’ve always believed at Square Farm is that it’s important for people, especially young people, to understand where their food comes from and how farming works in the real world.

There were some great questions, lots of enthusiasm, and hopefully everyone went away having learnt something new — including us!

A big thank you to everyone involved for organising such a creative and thought-provoking event. 🌱🚜

Friday Afternoon At Square Farm…

While many people are finishing work early, heading home and looking forward to the weekend…

Dad looked at the weather and decided it was the perfect time to start shearing sheep.

To be fair, he has a point.

The sheep are dry and the cooler evenings make it a lot more comfortable for both sheep and shearer.

With the recent weather, we think the sheep are quite happy to be losing their coats too!

So while most people are putting their feet up, we’ve been gathering sheep and getting shearing underway here at Square Farm.

The new shearing equipment that recently arrived after the fire hasn’t had long to settle in before being put straight to work!

A freshly shorn sheep always looks slightly surprised by what has just happened, but they’ll certainly appreciate it when the warmer weather arrives.

Anyway, the weekend’s plans are sorted…

Dad will be spending it wrestling sheep while the rest of us wonder why we let him decide what counts as a good Friday afternoon. 😂🐑
