This week we brought some of our AgriAdvance team together to deepen their understanding of the elements shaping the future of agriculture. From global market dynamics to local environmental challenges, continuous learning is central to how we support our farmers.

As part of our ongoing commitment to staff development through AgriAdvance, we equip our people with the latest insights to deliver a whole farm approach to sustainable agriculture for our customers.

Key focus areas from the day included:
• Volatility in global dairy markets and what the outlook for 2026 and beyond means for our industry
• Environmental challenges and their implications for Northern Ireland agriculture
• Advancing genetic improvement in NI cattle through the Bovine Genetics Programme

By investing in knowledge, we’re strengthening our ability to support resilient, sustainable farming systems for the future.

Stephen Bell, Technical Support Manager, Agronomy and Forage Services, recently returned to his former school, Markethill High, to speak to Year 11 Agriculture and Land Use students about crop production.

The visit was a great opportunity to share experience and knowledge with the next generation of agriculturalists, thanks to the staff and students for their welcome, enthusiasm and continued interest in agriculture – it was a real pleasure to be involved!

Emma Ross, Poultry Officer and Lindsay Dawson, Poultry Business Manager, from Fane Valley Feeds recently visited the GCSE Agriculture class at Markethill High School to deliver an engaging talk on modern poultry production.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share our knowledge and connect with students who represent the future of our industry. We were delighted by their enthusiasm, thoughtful questions and passion for agriculture.

Today we hosted a workshop at Fane Valley HQ, bringing together colleagues from Fane Valley Feeds and Fane Valley Stores. This session brought all pillars of AgriAdvance into one room, strengthening collaboration and ensuring our teams are aligned, informed and equipped to deliver the very best support to our farmers.

As a farmer‑owned co‑operative, investing in our people means investing in our farmers, helping us continue to provide trusted, knowledgeable service across the Agri sector.

Fane Valley Proudly Supports Heart Health

Fane Valley Group has wrapped up 18 incredible months supporting Irish Heart Foundation and Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke- what a journey it’s been.

From abseiling down the Omagh feed mill to coffee mornings, mountain treks, tractor runs and the show-stopping Fane Valley Does Strictly, our people and communities showed up in style.

We are delighted to have raised £91,000 which will be split equally between Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke and The Irish Heart Foundation.

Beyond fundraising, this initiative helped raise vital awareness of heart health through blood-pressure checks and practical education — supporting healthier, longer lives across our communities.

We’re proud that this achievement reflects not only the dedication and effort of our team but also the strength and spirit of the communities we proudly serve.
