This World Food Day, we would like to take a moment to thank farmers for the vital role they play in feeding our communities.

At Fane Valley, we support farmers every step of the journey, from soil health and crop production to animal nutrition and livestock wellbeing. Behind every meal is the hard work, dedication and commitment of farming families, supported by the expertise, nutrition and soil and plant health provided by our teams.

From farm to table, we all have a part to play.

Today, take a moment to appreciate where your food comes from and the people who make it possible.

As World Food Day approaches staff at Fane Valley and White's Oats have been enjoying a Harvest Lunch consisting of homemade soups, breads, cheese, crackers and much more, to raise money for our Giving Together charity initiative in support of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland and The Marie Keating Foundation

What an incredible challenge for a fantastic cause!

A huge congratulations to all our Fane Valley colleagues who took on the Fairhead Charity Abseil, descending an impressive 90ft sea cliff to raise vital funds for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland through our Giving Together initiative.

It takes real courage to step over the edge and even more commitment to do it in support of such an important cause.

Air Ambulance Northern Ireland provides a vital emergency medical service, bringing highly skilled medical teams directly to seriously injured patients across Northern Ireland. Their rapid response can make a critical difference in the moments when time matters most, helping to provide life-saving care at the scene of an incident and during transfer to hospital.

As a charity-funded service, they rely on the generosity of supporters and fundraising events like this to help keep their lifesaving work going.

Thank you to everyone who took part, supported the team, donated and helped make the challenge possible. Your commitment and fundraising efforts are a fantastic reflection of the Fane Valley Giving Together spirit.

🏆 Product of the Year for Silver Hill Duck! 🏆

We’re delighted to congratulate our colleagues at Silver Hill Duck, part of the Fane Valley Group, on their outstanding achievements at the Ireland Quality Food and Drink Awards 2026.

Their Slow Roasted Confit Duck Fillets have been named Product of the Year

Launched just last year, the Slow Roasted Confit Duck Fillets are a fantastic example of the quality, care and expertise that goes into every Silver Hill Duck product.

Silver Hill Duck’s product range also received 2 Gold Stars, 3 Silver Awards and 1 Bronze Award across this year’s awards.

A huge congratulations to the entire Silver Hill Duck team on this fantastic recognition. We’re incredibly proud to see the team’s commitment to quality being celebrated!

𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞’𝐬 𝐎𝐚𝐭𝐬!

We’re delighted to celebrate fantastic recognition for White’s Oats, part of the Fane Valley Group, at the Irish Quality Food Awards.

The team brought home two awards, with White’s Apple, Cranberry & Raspberry Granola receiving a Silver Award, while White’s Toasted Oats Wild Fruit Crunch was recognised with a Bronze Award.

Even more impressively, White’s Oats were the only award winners in their category, a fantastic achievement and a testament to the quality, innovation and dedication behind the products.

Congratulations to everyone at White’s Oats who contributed to this success and well done to all the finalists and winners.

It’s great to see the talent and quality of food producers from across the island being recognised and celebrated.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲🚁

As we mark International Day of Charity, we’re proud to recognise the commitment of our Fane Valley Group colleagues who are taking on an exciting challenge in support of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, one of our Giving Together Charity Partners.

Ahead of their abseil down Fairhead on 19th September, some of our participants recently had the opportunity to visit the Air Ambulance NI base and learn more about the vital, lifesaving work carried out by the charity every day.

Through our Giving Together Charity Partnership, colleagues across Fane Valley Group are coming together to raise funds and awareness for causes that make a real difference in our communities. The visit was a powerful reminder of the impact that fundraising and continued support can have, providing some extra motivation for our team as they prepare to take on the heights of Fairhead!

𝐀 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐍𝐈 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲!🚁

Today, some of our Fairhead Abseil participants had the opportunity to visit the Air Ambulance NI base and see first-hand the incredible, lifesaving work the team carries out.

As we went outside to view the backup aircraft, we unexpectedly witnessed the Air Ambulance being called out to an emergency and taking off from the base. It was a surreal and powerful moment for everyone there and a real reminder of just how vital this lifesaving service is.

On the 19th September, a number of participants from Fane Valley Group will take on the incredible challenge of abseiling down Fairhead, raising vital funds for Air Ambulance NI as part of our Giving Together Charity Partnership.

Fane Valley were delighted to be a sponsor of the UFU Winter Wheat Competition, supporting an initiative that recognises the hard work, skill and dedication of Northern Ireland’s arable farmers.

Congratulations to Mark McCollum of the UFU North East Londonderry Group, who was this year’s overall Winter Wheat winner.

Congratulations also to Raymond, David and William Wilson, who took second plac and Jim Fulton, who placed third. A fantastic achievement by all the growers involved and a great showcase of the high standards being achieved in winter wheat production across Northern Ireland.

At Fane Valley, we’re proud to support initiatives like the UFU Winter Wheat Competition and to play our part in recognising and celebrating the success of local farmers.

We’re delighted to celebrate an outstanding achievement for Silver Hill Duck, part of the Fane Valley Group.

Silver Hill Duck has been awarded an impressive 15 Great Taste Gold Stars across 12 products at the Great Taste Awards 2026, recognising the exceptional quality, flavour and craftsmanship behind the brand.

A particular highlight is the Plain Duck Breast Fillets, which received an incredible 3 stars Great Taste Award, the highest accolade available and awarded to fewer than 2% of entries.

This recognition is a fantastic achievement for the entire Silver Hill team and a testament to their continued commitment to producing outstanding duck products.
