Over the last 3 years, Snack In Da Box has been more than just a food trailer to us. It’s been our passion, our livelihood, and a journey we’ve shared with so many amazing customers. ❤️
With a heavy heart, we’ve made the difficult decision that, from the last week of August, we will be reducing our opening days to Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
This isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly. Like so many small independent businesses, the last few years have been incredibly tough. Rising costs, changing customer habits and the challenges facing hospitality have made it harder than ever to keep going as we have been.
Our fantastic chef leaves on 22nd August, so we’re now looking for a part-time chef to join us for these three days. If we find the right person and things work well for everyone, we’d absolutely love to build back up to five days a week in the future.
We also want to reassure everyone that all of our existing pop-up bookings for the rest of the year will still go ahead as planned. However, for the time being, we won’t be taking on any new pop-up bookings while we focus on getting things back on track.
Alongside this, we’ve made the difficult decision to start diversifying into another business. It’s something we’ve thought long and hard about because, sadly, we just don’t see much hope for the future of hospitality in its current state.
To every single person who’s bought a burger, recommended us to friends, booked us for an event, shared our posts or simply stopped by for a chat… thank you. Your support over the last three years has meant more than you’ll ever know.
This isn’t goodbye. We’re still here, we’re still fighting, and we’re hoping this change gives Snack In Da Box the best chance of a future.
