Klondyke Farms LTD is a upland farming enterprise with a focus on pedigree Galloway cattle, for breeding and supplying our own Farm Shop, part of Houghton Hall Garden Center. We are proud breeders of Galloway cattle and are active members of The Galloway Cattle Society. Our Galloway calves are finished to supply ‘Real Galloway Beef’ to our own farm shop, part of Houghton Hall Garden Centre, Carlis
le. Since the late Bob Gault purchased the first Galloway in 2000, we have been breeding and successfully crossing our Galloway with other breeds to achieve a herd of over 100 pedigree Galloways and around 75% of our 550 head suckler herd now Galloway crosses. We calve twice a year, two thirds in the spring and a third in autumn.
