We think it's safe to say that summer has finally arrived! 😎🌞

Here at Nicsnax, we have lots of fun and exciting things planned for the summer holidays and one of our favourites is making a return... Pilates with Carrie

🧘‍♀️☕🍰 Pilates, Coffee & Cake with Carrie! 🍰☕🧘‍♀️

Our first session is taking place on Thursday 2nd July which also means that Nicsnax will be open on Thursdays during the school holidays.

The session includes:
✅ Pilates class from 9am
✅ A hot drink afterwards
✅ A tasty snack or cake to enjoy after the class

💷 **£18 per person**

Whether you're a regular or have never tried Pilates before, it's a fantastic way to start the day in the beautiful surroundings of St Cyrus.

After lots of planning and listening to your feedback, we're excited to be launching Nicsnax Birthday Parties during the school holidays!

Available on Saturdays from 10am–12pm, our parties make the most of our unique location beside the beach and nature reserve, giving children the chance to celebrate with food, fun and a little adventure.

Choose from:

🥪 Nicsnax Party Package – £8 per child
🌿 Explorer Party Package – £9.50 per child
🏖️ Beach Party Package – £10.50 per child
🌊🌿 Ultimate Beach Explorer Package – £12 per child

All packages include:

🍕 Sandwiches or Pizza
🥔 Crisps
🍎 Fruit
🥤 Cordial
🍰 Choice of Cake or Ice Cream

Suitable for 6–12 children above 3 years of age.

🌞⚓ Bucket List Ticked Off! ⚓🌞

This morning I was able to step away from the van for a few hours and finally cross something off my bucket list!

The family and I made our first visit to Scurdie Ness Lighthouse, and what a beautiful walk it was. The views were absolutely stunning, with the lighthouse standing proudly against the coastline.

To make the trip even more special, we were treated to the sight of dolphins playing and jumping in the ocean on our way back. 🐬✨ It's one of those moments that makes you stop and appreciate just how lucky we are.

We really are fortunate to have such incredible places right on our doorstep. Sometimes it's easy to forget what's nearby until you take the time to explore it.

☕🌱 Supporting Local, One Cup at a Time 🌱☕

This week we had the opportunity to pop in and see Kathryn, Amy and Jamie to collect our latest coffee delivery and catch up before they head off for a well-earned holiday.

One of the best things about visiting their roastery is that you can smell the coffee before you even get through the door! ☕😍 And of course, no visit is complete without saying hello to Fattima, their famous roaster.

These guys do a fantastic job supplying the wonderful coffee that we proudly serve here at Nicsnax. We also share a similar ethos when it comes to reducing waste, with Sacred Ground using reusable tubs or compostable packaging wherever possible.

It's important to us to support another local small business too. As a small business owner myself, I know how much of a difference it makes when people choose to shop local and support independent businesses.

We often get asked about the coffee we serve, and for those of you who'd like to enjoy a great cuppa at home, Sacred Ground's coffee is available to buy directly from their website. This week's coffee at Nicsnax is a beautiful bean from Rwanda.

We'll share a little more information about this week's coffee below, along with a photo of us and Fattima during our visit.

🎉 A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete our survey about **Beach Birthday Parties at Nicsnax**! 🎉

We've had some fantastic feedback, ideas and suggestions, and it's been really helpful to see what parents and families would like to see.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be going through all of the responses, doing a bit more research, and seeing what exciting options we can put together. So if you haven't completed the survey yet, there's still time!

🧦☕ **Today's post is a little different...**

It's Friday, the coffee is flowing, and I'm in a slightly weird and wacky mood, so I thought we'd take a break from talking about the weather for once! 😄

Let's talk about **funny socks**...

I was lucky enough to be gifted this pair for Christmas and they've become my absolute favourite socks. In fact, they're probably one of the very few pairs that actually stay together and get worn as a matching pair rather than ending up mismatched with whatever I can find in the drawer! 🤣

And while we're on the subject of fashion, I'm also rather chuffed with the shoes I managed to pick up from the local second-hand shop last week. A bargain and a great find if you ask me! 👞😎

Now I'm curious...

🎉🎈 **Do you have a child's birthday coming up this summer?** 🎈🎉

We're exploring the idea of offering **children's birthday parties at Nicsnax** and would love to get some feedback from parents and grandparents before we make any plans.

🌧️ Unfortunately, with the rain already falling and more forecast for the rest of the day, we've made the decision to close Nicsnax for today.

As much as we'd love to stay open, the weather has other ideas! ☔

We'll be back bright and early on Friday from 11am, ready with fresh coffee, cakes and a warm welcome.
