🌶️ Honestly… THANK YOU! ❤️🔥

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s been placing orders since the sauces started flowing again.

After what’s felt like a very long hiatus while we waited (not so patiently 😅) for this year’s chillies to grow, ripen and finally make their way into bottles, seeing your orders coming through again means more than you probably realise.

Growing our own chillies means we’re always at the mercy of the plants. We can’t just order another box when we run out — when they’re gone, we wait. 🌱🌶️

And the fact that you guys are still right there waiting for us when the sauces return is bloody amazing. ❤️

🌶️🔥 IT’S HAPPENING… THE FIRST BIG COOK OF THE YEAR! 🔥🌶️

It feels bloody good to finally have the chillies coming in and the pans firing again!

And after a week of cooking, bottling, labelling and questioning our life choices…

🇦🇺🌶️ CHILLI SPOTLIGHT — RB003 🌶️🇦🇺

G’DAY MATE 🔥

Today’s chilli spotlight has travelled a bloody long way to end up growing here in Morecambe…

Meet RB003, a superhot creation from Australian chilli breeder Ross Barber. 🇦🇺

And Ross clearly woke up one morning and thought:

“You know what the world needs? Something hotter.” 😂

So he crossed two already ridiculous superhots:

🌶️ Carolina Reaper
🧠 7 Pot Brain Strain

…and RB003 was born.

Because apparently Australia didn’t already have enough things capable of hurting you. 🇦🇺🕷️🐍🐊🌶️

These pods have some serious genetics behind them — the Reaper bringing its infamous heat and nasty characteristics, while the Brain Strain brings that gnarly, wrinkled superhot appearance.

🔥 HEAT LEVEL: ABSOLUTELY NOT MESSING ABOUT

Estimated to be around 2,000,000+ SHU— RB003 is firmly superhot territory.

And now Ross’s Aussie creation is growing happily from seed here at Morecambe Heat Co., where our plants are loading up with some seriously evil-looking pods. 🌱🔥

From Australia 🇦🇺 to Morecambe Bay

👽🌶️ Chilli Spotlight: Purple UFO 🌶️👽

Meet one of the strangest (and prettiest) chillies in the Morecambe Heat Co. collection… the Purple UFO.

These incredible little pods start out a deep, glossy purple before ripening to a vibrant red. They’re not the hottest chilli we grow, sitting at around 30,000–50,000 SHU, but they make up for it with fantastic flavour and their unmistakable alien appearance.

They’re also the star of our Bay 51 Sweet Chilli Sauce, giving it that fruity flavour and gentle kick that so many of you love.

This year, though, the Purple UFOs have had a growth spurt! 🚀

They’ve become so tall and vigorous that we’ve had to put cages around them just to keep them under control. Whether they’re being supported… or contained… we’re not entirely sure. 👀👽

How long do you think we can keep them caged before they escape? 🛸😂

As always, every single one of these plants has been grown from seed right here at Morecambe Heat Co. No bought-in chillies—just months of growing, feeding and a little bit of alien technology. 😉

🌶️ Scorpion Fat Orange… they’ve absolutely lost the plot this year! 🦂🍊

I was going to take a nice photo holding one in the palm of my hand…

Turns out the chilli had other ideas. 😂

Seriously… these Scorpion Fat Orange pods are bloody enormous this year! Thick, gnarly and packed with the sort of heat that makes you question your life choices.

A few facts about these beasts…

🦂 They’re part of the famous Trinidad Scorpion family.

🔥 They regularly top 1 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU), making them proper superhots.

🍊 As they ripen, they develop that beautiful deep orange colour… if you can stop staring at the size of them!

Every one of these has been grown from seed right here at Morecambe Heat Co., and I honestly don’t think we’ve ever had a crop of Scorpion Fat Oranges this impressive.

Now settle an argument for me…

Are my hands tiny… or are these chillies just ridiculously massive? 😂🌶️
