You might have spotted Bloomin’ Heather at cromartycinema this weekend! While I am working on the best way for our wee delicacy van to find its place on the Black Isle, I am loving the idea of it supporting local community events 🩵 This cinema (recently rated one of the best 100 in the world 🤩) is a local gem carefully managed by passionate volunteers. Enjoy the last day of this mini-festival “In Dreams” curated by the fantastic Mark Cousins 💭✨

Our very first event has gone fabulously well 🥳🥳 I was so happy to be part of this Black Isle Food & Drink Festival… as promoting Black Isle and other local products is basically what we’re set up to do! 🤪
Beautiful job from the organisers Culbokie Community Trust 👏👏👏 And a great turnout for all these amazing producers that were showing their work yesterday! Local all the way!

They say after the rain, comes the rainbow 🌈

A bit of sad news today people… My generator part has still not arrived and theres no other way I will be able to power the café this weekend without it being too costly or noisy and ruining the whole farm experience… 😞

This week has been a trying experience. I lost some of my fresh supplies but mostly felt guilty of losing the beautiful momentum everyone had given me by coming to the opening last weekend (❤️❤️❤️). The response and support has been truly incredible. But we don’t hear enough about how difficult and nerve racking starting and business and running into technical difficulties can be. When everything feels right and suddenly the universe seems to enjoy throwing things at you 😅🙈

I was extremely excited to get back in there and show the beautiful products I had been sourcing locally and been putting together. Unfortunately, my time at the is now up (thanks to them a million for the opportunity!) and my next service will have to be located somewhere else on the Black Isle🗺️🌲🌻

I’m actively investigating for semi-permanent spots for the rest of the summer. I’ll keep you updated when things get a bit clearer, hopefully soon. I’m sure good news are coming 😍🌈✨

Thank you again to everyone who came, tasted the products, discussed the project, left reviews, gave me encouragement. It’s what starting a local business is all about 🥰

The generator is protesting and apparently wanting some extra attention today. Hopefully it will be resolved soon but we won’t be able to open until Friday.

Thanks a million to the people who stopped this morning for coffee and offered to give me a hand! 🙏
