As the evenings draw in, we’ve got a packed month of w**e, food, creativity and a little Halloween mischief. Save this post, swipe through the carousel and get these dates in your diary:

📆 🍷 Saturday 3rd October | 11am–3pm — Rioja Pop-Up Tasting. Drop in and discover a selection of w**es as we celebrate **eMonth Rioja W**e
No ticket required.
📆 🕯️ Saturday 10th October | 6.15–9.30pm — Autumn Candle Making Workshop with Hannah Rachel Thompson . An autumnal evening of candle making, w**e tasting and a cheese grazing board - Tickets £55 - Booking online.
📆 🇪🇸 Saturday 17th October | 6.45–10pm — Rioja W**e Dinner. Settle in for an evening celebrating the w**es and flavours of Rioja - Tickets £60 - Booking online and instore.
📆 📚 Friday 23rd October | 2–4pm — Silent Book Club. Bring your current read, find a cosy corner and enjoy a peaceful afternoon at the Barn.
📆 💃🍷 Saturday 24th October | from 6.45pm — Call My Bluff W**e Tasting with the fabulous Latina Ballroom. W**e tasting with plenty of laughs, glamour and a little friendly bluffing - Tickets £35 - Booking online and instore.
📆 🎃👻 Saturday 31st October | 11am–3pm — Halloween Pop-Up Tasting with Hatch Mansfield W**es. Join us for a frightfully good line-up of w**es and some Halloween fun. No ticket required.

A CELEBRATION OF GROUSE 🍷

We are delighted to announce a very special evening in collaboration with The Holland, Kensington and Clarence Dillon W**es.

Join the super talented chef patron Max de Nahlik and his team on Thursday 8th October for an elegant celebration of seasonal British cooking, centred around grouse and accompanied by a carefully selected collection of w**es from **es

The evening will begin with Ch*****ne Henriot Brut Souverain NV, before moving through a beautifully considered menu featuring trout tartare, roast grouse and grouse pie, finishing with treacle tart and crème fraîche.

Throughout the evening, w**es from Clarence Dillon have been selected to complement each course, including Clarendelle Bordeaux Blanc 2025, Clarendelle Rouge 2019 and Clarendelle Amberw**e 2022.

A wonderful opportunity to experience exceptional seasonal food alongside the elegance of Bordeaux.

🍸 CALLING ALL HISTORY BUFFS… AND GIN LOVERS! 🍸
We’re delighted that our very own gin expert Andy Cole will be appearing at Gloucester History Festival this Autumn, presenting:
“Mother’s Ruin – The History of Gin Through the Ages”
Join Andy as he uncovers gin’s colourful journey from medicinal spirit to the notorious 18th-century Gin Craze, exploring how it earned the nickname “Mother’s Ruin” and eventually became one of Britain’s favourite tipples.
And naturally, a talk about gin wouldn’t be complete without actually tasting some! 🍸
The session starts with a a glass of Gin & Tonic, followed by the chance to sample three further gins, with alcohol-free alternatives available too.
📅 DATE/TIME – Friday 18th September - 6.30pm - 7.30pm
📍 Scriptorium Buttery, Blackfriars Priory, Gloucester

RIOJA W**E DINNER 🍷😋

Join us at The Vinotopia W**e Barn on Saturday 17th October for an evening of Spanish food, Rioja W**e and plenty of good company.

We’ll be pouring a different w**e with each course, taking you from Rosado and old-vine Rioja Blanco through to two classic Reserva reds, before finishing with a delicious Moscatel alongside dessert.

WOW! We’re absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted as a finalist for Best Independent W**e Merchant at the 2027 Drinks Retailing Awards! 🍷🎉

It’s fantastic recognition for our small but mighty team who make everything we do possible.

Since moving into our lovely W**e Barn in Nailsworth just over three years ago, we’ve poured a fair few glasses! From w**e dinners and pop-up tastings to workshops, community events and w**e education, the Barn has become so much more than a w**e shop – it’s a place to discover, linger, laugh, learn and make new friends.

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful customers, suppliers, collaborators and everyone who has supported us along the way. Independent businesses simply couldn’t do it without you.
