William’s is a multi-award winning delicatessen, fishmonger & seafood restaurant. Open Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and Friday & Saturday evenings.

One of Rick Stein’s “Food Heroes” and Matthew Fort’s ‘Five Favourite Places to Shop’, William's has long been recognised as one of the finest independent food retailers in the county. The quality of the fish and shellfish are renowned, much being delivered each morning fresh from Cornish day boats, as is the extensive range of game, cured meats terrines, fruit and vegetables. The popular Oyster Bar is open for lunch every day from Monday to Saturday.

It’s going to be a scorcher this week and what could be better than fresh seafood in the shade, accompanied by a chilled glass of rose? 🌞🥂🦞

Our outdoor terrace, shaded by huge parasols, will be open for lunch from Tuesday to Saturday and for dinner on Friday and Saturday evening. We look forward to welcoming you!

Our latest Prix Fixe Menu is available Tuesday to Friday at lunchtime, offering a proper taste of William’s cooking.

Start with dishes like smoked haddock chowder or beetroot tartare, move on to comforting favourites including William’s fish pie, moules frites or seafood risotto, and finish with proper desserts like sticky toffee pudding or lemon posset.

Alongside the main menu, our latest Prix Fixe menu is now available, including Friday lunchtimes, offering a relaxed way to enjoy William’s cooking with
2 courses for £25 or 3 courses for £30.

And of course, our deli and fish slab are always fully stocked with exceptional produce, from outstanding fresh fish and seafood to cheeses, charcuterie and chef prepared meals, all selected with the same care you find on the plate.

Oysters on ice 🦪

Sourced from the crystal clear waters of Cape Wrath () and delivered overnight, our oysters arrive beautifully fresh, chilled, and full of natural flavour. Carefully chosen and simply served, just as great oysters should be.

While they’re not part of our current Prix Fixe menu (more detail about this in our highlights 2 course £25) they make a perfect add on if you’re looking to elevate your meal. Enjoy them natural or dressed, they’re an irresistible way to start, especially at this time of year.
