At Jane's Farm our farming practices are animal, human and planet friendly. Our native breeds can live outdoors all year long, in even the harshest Cheshire winters. They are extensively reared on mixed pasture and forage: their natural diet. The calves stay with their mother for nine months and the bull lives amongst them to keep everyone happy! rass fed beef has the heart healthy ratio of Omega 6: Omega 3 and contains CLA and Vitamin E resulting in a decreased risk of heart disease, cancer, obesity and auto-immune disorders. We spread no nitrates and use minimal pesticide and herbicide. The cows often drink from our natural ponds: created to help with flooding. The "outdoor" system needs no heat or light, and we create minimal food miles by killing and selling locally.
