As some of you know, unfortunately I'm not well at the moment. However we are at both locations tomorrow (Thursday), with Seth & Gaz serving you at Nantwich and Remi enjoying his fruit bonanza at Bridgemere! 🤣
So a pre-new meds screening blood test needing 10 bottles today, as anticipated, didn't go well ... in fact it ended up taking 45 minutes and a porter wheeling me to A&E. I've avoided staying overnight thankfully as I can't sleep at home, nevermind in hospital! We're hoping we can get everything in place to make both locations run well on Saturday too as, unless a miracle happens, I just can't run it. So sorry... I will be back though!!! 🤗 Claire 🫶

It's a big Happy 50th birthday to our Superstar Buyer, Remi! He's just got back from staying the night in the Lake District with Mili and the boys. It's the first time they've seen the area and were wowed!!
He was really touched to receive a card designed by Sasha at Bridgemere and signed by lots of staff! We've been so welcomed there! 🫶

In other news.... Project Watermelon is going very well! We're past half way down the crate now! And they are still perfect.... THE sweetest watermelon we've ever tasted!
We've adjusted the price to £2.50kg and doing whole, halves and quarters.
Whilst preparing them today, I think me and Michelle ate nearly half a one 🤣🍉🍉🥰

This is just Nantwich for Saturday.... The list for Bridgemere to cover Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday is more nuts!! 😨
We just did the Bridgemere order over the phone as Remi was driving home... His signal was in and out which then caused an argument, then we just started laughing about it ... OMG just end this nightmare now 🤣
Anyway, it's happy days for our fantastic supplier, Barton & Redman, and 2 sleepless nights for us wondering if we got it right 🤣🤷 THIS is the reality of Market Greengrocery running 2 sites, and a bank holiday, before we even begin receiving delivery, setting up and trading 🙈 Wish us luck!!! 😰

Currently got these crazy good tomatoes from Frank Rudd Farm near Knutsford.... Speciality tomato grower with a huge multiple acre site growing these beauties! Yellow and Red cherry vine toms, and your regular vine ripened. The flavour is an "oh my gosh!" moment!!
Lots more UK and local produce on its way!!! 😃🥳

Superstar Buyer Remi has bought a WHOLE crate of first class new season Moroccan watermelon!! We've got something like 500 kilos to sell! We can do halves too!!
If you leave Bridgemere with anything... Please can it be a watermelon 🙏... because it's totally stressing the rest of us out! 🤣🤣🤣🙈

Well this was towards the end of Day 2 of 3!!!
Remi said he'd "do the rubbish" before he left .... I pray to God he did, because I can't walk into this mess tomorrow morning!! 😳😨
Day 3: Bank Holiday Monday, we're going to try and get a 2hr head start before the doors open at 10am.
We're thankful Bridgemere has DOORS, and kinda wish we had them at Nantwich Market!!

As much as we love/need your custom, we ARE trying to work to a 9am opening time... arriving at 7am and setting up the gazebos, tables and equipment, leaving 1¹/⁴hrs to lay out. So any interruptions can really throw us all behind 😨 We work as quickly as we possibly can on set up but we normally have about 100 items to put in the right/best place and with stock constantly changing it's not the simplest of tasks!
We should do a speed vid of set up one Saturday, you'd be quite shocked! 💪 😲🥵🤣 So we just ask for a little more breathing space on a Saturday morning if you can 🙏

New Cheshire potatoes in tomorrow and at Nantwich from Saturday!
What will you do with yours? ...
Are you a traditionalist? ... Bacon or gammon, broad beans, peas and lots of butter? .... Or something a little more fancy?!
Looking forward to a great Bank Holiday weekend! We've put in a pretty ginormous order for Nantwich on Saturday and Bridgemere Sat/Sun/Mon.
